Dear all,

 

If I can have a word on the topic of north or south, especially since

I lived in Kerala for the first 20 years of my life and the rest 10

years I been in west and north. From my interactions, I find that

while astrology been very important for the day to day life in Kerala

its not so with other places. My company was conducting 4 days

rigorous yajna and homa each year for which reputed pundits from

varanasi used to arrive and my colleague himself a learned pundit

from varanasi I had a chance to understand the tradition of varanasi.

Like all other shastras, the importance of Varanasi in astrology also

very high.

 

But in Kerala, unlike other places people have the habit of

approaching astrologers for even silly problems. Due to its religious

side, it got more importance and the books like prashna marga and

krishneeyam and the temples being connected to it for daiva prashna,

it gave many scholars and daivajnas. In the present time, since I

been to these places, I can easily say that its in kerala only

astrology and astrologers get this much respect. Also, my experience

is that unlike in other states (I haven't visited eastern side of

India), Kerala has more astrologers and people generally believes in

astrology and think of it, incase of reversal of fate.

 

But I believe that in the early times, north and varanasi side been

the main place of astrology and it developed from there only. Which

side and what is relatively unimportant, if non Indians excel in

astrology in the 21st century, whats the use in saying Kerala or

north India is the main place?

I had a chance to interact with Chandra Hari recently on his

article `hindu-ahindu' where on most part he's spitting venom on

brahmins and adi sankaracharya…I don't know what experience made him

concentrating all his energies on this part. He wants to prove that

what all is here, its all dravideans contributions(you know what),

not anyone else's. Whatever may be his intelligence or his abilities

(which I also praise), from first two mails itself I felt his Rahu

and Mars been very strong on the negative side.

Chandrashekhar ji's recent mail on pancha mahapurusha yoga explains

it, and my 2 sents are the yoga lord's position in navamsa also

matters and the dasa running should be favourable. My wife has 2

yogas, sasa and ruchaka, but she so far doesn't have even a job, but

my life prospers day by day. Jan 1 1983, 7.15PM, 75 E 34 11 N 50. For

another horoscope, Apr 21, 1979 12.05PM 76E14 9N58. See the hamsa

yoga and excellent gaja kesari yoga, how do you analyse this

horoscope ?
