Thank you very much for your time that you spent for us by giving a lesson. How ever we have discussed about Sudasa and Sri Lagna earlier and I found few things completely differant to earlier discutions. This is givven me some confutions to calculate AD of Sudasa and I hope you could help us to clear this.

 

In Jaimini Suthra, sloka 2.4.31- paghe 218 of US says; If the SL is in an odd sign, Sudasa begin from SL shall be reguler and zodiacle. Similary if the lord of the dasa sign is in an odd sign the sub period will be reguler and zodiacle..(Commencing from the lord or it's 7th house)

 

Sloka 2.4.32 says, In even sign the derection is reversed.

Sloka 2.4.33 says if Saturn in SL or DASA RASI the progress of the Rasi dasa (May be Maha dasa)/antar dasa shall be zodiacle.

similary if Ketu is in SL or dasa rasi, the progress of the Rasi dasa/antar dasa shall be reverse.

2.4.34 The Antar dasa and bhuktis commence from he lord of the dasa sign or its 7th house.

 

You too conformed this some time ago and I am reproducing one of your mail below. But, why did you introduce a new way ( In lesson Example 4) to find antar dasa of Sudasa in this lesson.? I am not much comfotable about this and I hope you will kindly enlightn me in this regard.

Being busy with other things, I have been rather quite for a month. I invite you to use the archives when there isn't much activity here.

Sudasa is the dasa of money and material success. I gave several examples of Sudasa in the past. I will give another example.

Rasi chart: Venus & Ketu in Ar; Sun, Mars & Mercury in Ge; Jupiter & Saturn in Le; lagna in Vi; Rahu in Li; GL (Ghati Lagna - the lagna that shows fame, power and authority) in Cp; Moon in Pi.

Moon's longitude is 10 deg 38 min in Pisces (you may get a different value). He is in Uttarabhadrapada constellation which begins at 3 deg 20 min in Pisces. So advancement in nakshatra is (7 deg 18 min)/(13 deg 20 min), i.e. 0.5475. This fraction of the zodiac is (0.5475 x 360 deg) = 197.1 deg = 197 deg 6 min.

Adding this to lagna (27 deg 10 min in Vi), we get 14 deg 16 min in Aries. That is " Sree Lagna " (SL). Because SL is almost at the middle of the sign, dasa remainder in first dasa is half.

Dasas start from SL. Because Aries is odd, they progress in the zodiacal order. Finding quadrants, panaparas and apoklimas, we get Ar, Cn, Li, Cp, Ta, Le etc. Dasa periods are found just as in Narayana dasa, except that only half of the first dasa comes at the beginning. For reference, I am enclosing my calculations.

I said earlier that GL and the 7th from it give power. Signs aspecting GL can also give power.

In Rao's case, Cp has GL. Cn is the 7th. Ta, Le and Li aspect Cp (using rasi drishti - sign aspect). Cp and Cn dasas came when Rao was too young (at the ages of 1 year and 12 years).

Scorpio (1973-1980) and Leo dasas (1980-1982) made him a prominent minister in Indira Gandhi's cabinet. More than them, the other sign aspecting GL - Taurus - is significant.

Taurus is a trine to GL and aspects GL. It has argalas from the lords of GL and the 7th from GL. It also has argalas from viparita raja yoga planets Sun and Mars and also mahapurusha yoga planet Mercury. Taurus dasa has the potential to bring the best of his career.

Taurus dasa ran during 1982-1993. Each antardasa lasts 11 months and the 10th antardasa of Capricorn was running in Sept 90-Aug 91. With Capricorn having GL, this antardasa has the greatest potential for bringing power.

Sudasa is a powerful dasa. When you make predictions about a political leader's fortunes in an election, try to use Sudasa!

Thank you for your alertness. Yes, I was using Narayana dasa like

antardasa division in Sudasa. But later Sanjay clarified that he

prefers Sudasa like antardasa division (as I taught now). That is why

I have now changed the method. And, this method seems to give better

results, especially with regard to the blessings of Ashta Lakshmis.

 

What I taught you in the lesson is what Sanjay taught me.
