A cursory glance shows that the chart is not as good as it appears

at first sight. Mars a malefic occupies the ascendant aspected by

Jupiter a functional malefic (ruler of 3 and 6) This could lead either

ill-health (ascendant) or divorce and separation (Mars ruler of 7th aspected

by Jupiter.) This could have happened either in the major rule of

Ketu or currently in Venus-Sun.

The ruler of the ascendant Venus is totally combust in the Sun (badhaka).

Ruler of the ascendant is also ruler of the 8th. This Venus underscores

what I said about health or marriage. The current period of Venus-Sun

may have been when the effects may have been felt.

The person could be irritable, excitable (Mars in ascendant, Rahu in

the 5th)

Careerwise it may be quite good ruler of 9th in the 9th and ruler of

10 in the 10th (but note Moon's position in Punarvasu nakshatra.)

charts and rasi dasas will throw more light on it. Would anyone care

to comment on it? I wont say more, as I want to make this as objective

an exercise as possible. There have been significant events in this persons

life in the past couple of years. Can anyone describe them? The

birth time is considered reliable. However, I will also add that he was

at university around 1974 where he met his wife, probably in mercury dasa.

His wife is small, fair with an unusual orangish complexion, confident,

outspoken, petite and very attractive. However, she lost a great deal of

her hair at a very young age, and had scanty but curly hair from a young

age. She is a post grad physicist, a university academic, very bright,

with a shining complexion. In her chart, venus is in the ascendant and

also aspects the AL with Graha Drishti. He is also a science graduate,

but I have few details about him apart from that. He went overseas in the

last few years consistent with the vimshottri dasa of venus in the 9th
