Planetary Transits for January 17 –

January 23

 

Sun transits Capricorn, from 02:31 to 09:38°. 

Sun is weak and under the aspect of Mars until Jan. 19. 

 

Moon is waxing and transits Aries,

Taurus, Gemini and Cancer.  Moon, in

Taurus, is exalted Jan. 17 – 19. 

The full Moon is in its own sign, Cancer, Jan. 22 at 7:34

a.m. CT.

 

Mars transits Gemini, from 01:20 to 00:23°. 

Mars is retrograde until Jan. 30, weak until Feb. 29, and under the

influence of Rahu until March 11.  (There

can be problems relative to fire, police, military, property, executives,

explosions, etc.)  Mars remains in Gemini

until April 28. 

 

Mercury transits Capricorn from 20:03 to 28:02°, outside the orb of

influence of other planets. 

 

Jupiter transits its mooltrikona sign,

Sagittarius, from 12:43 to 14:16°, outside the orb of influence of

other planets.  This is exceptionally favorable

for law, religion, teaching, banking and general good fortune.

 

Venus transits out of Scorpio and into

Sagittarius, Jan. 19 at 4:09 a.m. CT. 

Expect an end to the strike by the Writers Guild of America around Jan.

26, when Venus is strong and free from afflictions.

 

Saturn transits Leo, from 13:51 to 13:28°, under the aspect of Jupiter.  Saturn is retrograde until May 2.

 

Rahu and Ketu transit Aquarius and Leo,

respectively, from 04:10 to 03:48°.  Persons with rising signs in the 2 to 4-degree

range, or with planets in odd signs in the 2 to 4-degree range, need to be extra

careful and patient.  (Rahu and Ketu

remain in the 3-degree range until March 26.)

 

Note: 

The transit of Rahu and Ketu in the horoscope of Senator Barack Obama, is particularly difficult through the end of March.  He will need to use a lot of care and

patience in order to avoid serious problems or calamities.

 

Transits for each “Rising sign”

(Not “Sun sign”):

 

Aries:  There can be ambition, energy, exhaustion and

restlessness through March 11.  Be

careful with income, friends, communications and entrepreneurial activities.  Relationships are vulnerable until Jan.

26.  Invest in your career, and in oil,

minerals, manufacturing and industrial activities.

 

Taurus: 

There is good fortune with your father, guru, religion, and spiritual

journeys. Writing and publishing are productive.  Focus on your health and finances through

mid-Feb., and on your career

 

Gemini: 

Put some attention on your health and be patient with setbacks with your

own self efforts.  Take care of your

children, education and investments through Jan. 25.  Be patient with property and home life through

mid-March.  Focus on good fortune in

marriage and partnerships.

 

Cancer: 

Focus on marriage, partners, communications and entrepreneurial

activities, and take care of your parents, property and home life. Continue to

be patient with your career through March 11. 

Keep some attention on your health and finances.  Be patient with setbacks.

 

Leo: 

 Focus on health and finances, and

get extra rest through mid-Feb.  Be

careful to avoid debts, conflict, fire and theft.  Be patient before you speak and protect your

family life.  Delay new ventures and be

careful with communications until Jan. 26. 

Take care of your father and guru.

 

Virgo:  Focus on your children, education, investments

and creative projects.  Be patient with

expenses in these areas.  Your wealth,

status, and family life improve after Jan. 25. 

Health and finances should also improve. 

Property, happiness and home life can do well during 2008.

 

Libra:   Get extra

rest through Jan. 25.  There may be gains

through parents, property, and home life. 

Marriage and partners remain in fluctuation through March 11.  Expect entrepreneurial success in 2008, and

gains through your children, education and investments for the next two years.

 

Scorpio: 

Focus on independence, communications, and your own efforts for the next

few weeks.  Be patient with losses,

expenses, and long-distant ventures through Jan. 25.  Put some attention on your health and

finances. Your status improves during 2008. 

Be industrious for the next two years.

 

Sagittarius:  There is good fortune with your status,

career and family life.  Expect a lift

with income and friendships after Jan. 25. 

Take care of your children, education and investments through March

11.  Be bold during 2008. Teach, publish,

and advise, and pursue your own self efforts.

 

Capricorn:  Some good fortune may come to you, but

exercise patience to avoid accidents and to manage setbacks.  Be patient with your career through mid-Feb. There

may be short-term expenses, travel, or relocation.  Protect your parents, property and home life,

and avoid debts and disputes.

 

Aquarius:  Be patient with marriage and partners. There

may be short-term losses, expenses or separations.  Expect gains from the fine, performing or

healing arts after Jan. 25.  Be careful

with your entrepreneurial efforts through March 11.  Expect income and friendships during 2008.

 

Pisces: Expect gains, income and friends

connected with marriage, partners, and relationships.  Be careful with your speech, status, and

family life.  Focus on your career and

professional life during 2008, and put together a plan to manage your health
