AATHREYA - DRAUPADI - taken for granted

Draupadi is Princess of Paanchaala Desh and so

She is known as Paanchaali. She is the Daughter

of King Drupada of Paanchaala desh , hence She

is called Draupadi. Her given name is Krishna.

Probably She is a little dark complexioned.

Draupadi is born out of a Sacrificial Fire as an

Amsa of Shakthi . In fact all women , may they be

Mothers , Sisters, Wives or Daughters are born as

Shakthi Amsa Sambhoothas, a Truth revealed to us

by Rama Krishna Parama Hansa.

Draupadi is born for a specific purpose and that is

to become Arjuna's wife. A contest , Matsya Yanthra

was organized , where Arjuna won the contest and

won the hand of Draupadi fair and square, but the

fate decided otherwise. Without taking Draupadi's

wishes into consideration, Kunthi asked all five

Paandava Brothers to marry Draupadi . Polygamy

was an accepted fact in those days but Polyandry

is forced upon Draupadi. This affair resulted in

male chauvinists into taunting Draupadi as Pancha

Bharthruka , a lady who has five husbands. Kunthi

had the audacity to offer Draupadi to KarNa , who was

wise enough to see through the machinations of all.

Mind you all the Paandavas had each their own

individual wives specially Arjuna , a much married

gentleman. Draupadi accepted the decision with

equanimity and dignity all Her own.

Draupadi went through all the travails , tribulations

all through Her life. She was subjected to Vasthra

ApaharaNam , only to be saved in time by Lord Krishna,

whose devotee She is and to whom She once tore a

piece of Her Silk saree to stop Krishna's bleeding finger.

She was abused and insulted in open assembly.

Saindhava tried to abduct her when she is alone in

AraNyavaasam.

She was sold away by Her husband in a gambling game.

She was subjected to sexual harassment by Keechaka ,

while in Ajnaatha Vaasam in Viraatnagar.

Ultimate blow She lost all her Sons at the end of

Kurushethra war , at the hands of Aswatthaama . But She

was magnanimous and so kind hearted to forgive Aswatthaama.

For all Her troubles it is not Draupadi's Son who is destined to

become King of Kuru Saamraajyam . What and Where

is the justice of all Draupadi's Life. Why and what for.

Did Draupadi deserve all this.
