Without bending the rules i would say a malefic in the Darapada and retrograde could give alot of trouble there. What do you think? If Shani as AK was here, then it would be because he could not compensate or go half way with his ideals. This leads to alot of opposition/criticism from the public (Saturn again) which is placed in the 7th from Arudha Lagna. This can only be removed if he worships his Istha Devata - Mercury. Mercury is in Arudha Lagna so the Istha allready has an influence on his name and fame. Mercury in the first drekkana is Sri Rama. Just by entering the lime light, will he remove this criticism. The native will not associate with the planets in the 12th from Arudha. It maybe stronger but he won't get any material benefit. So u may infer that he has an inner drive towards the activities of srimantah, but how will that manifest in his career? Thats why i said the other was stronger, maybe i should have clarified that.

Visti: No jumping. This is the duty which has followed your soul. Shani is his Lagna lord and is Atmakaraka, hence his actions will resemble his souls purpose. Your Atmakaraka is your 7th and 8th lord, surely your not in a hurry to associate with the dead, release ghosts from their suffering and such, but no doubt will learn to remove the sorrow of your wife. Our Guruji Sanjay's Atmakaraka is 12th and 11th lord, he suffered a great sorrow, and must have contemplated suicide (moon in aqua in 3rd from AL), due to his losses in Saturn Dasa. Am i jumping to conclussions? I think you have read Zorans article on Atmakaraka where he gives some examples of malefics Atmakaraka's.
