Iran - difficult transits ahead

Dear friends, We are following a 24° 24' Cancer rising chart for Iran based on the proclamation of the Islamic revolution at 3:03PM on April 1, 1979 in Teheran. This chart has some very difficult transits in the near future. November 2007-January 2008 Rahu - Venus period is operating. Transit L8 Saturn will be very closely conjunct natal Saturn at 14° 43' Leo H2 from late November 2007 to late January 2008. The aspect becomes almost exact from December 16-23, when the Saturn station peaks at 14° 35', before going retrograde. Natally, Saturn afflicts L1 Moon at 13° 13' Taurus H11. Saturn also afflicts L4 Venus at 10° 22' Aquarius H8, while Ketu exactly afflicts H4. This combination is consistent with the many death-inflicting earthquakes that have struck Iran. It is also consistent with obstructions faced by women in Iran. This time would be

expected to heighten considerably the level of tension in the stand-off between the USA and Iran over the nuclear development efforts in Iran. Interestingly, at that time transit Saturn will also closely conjunct L10 Mars at 16° 11' Leo H2 in the chart of George W. Bush. July-September 2008 Rahu - Sun period will be operating. Transit Rahu becomes exactly conjunct the rising degree, when transit Ketu will be conjunct H7 MEP. At that time, the transit nodes will be afflicting all the odd numbered houses. In early July 2008, transit L6 Jupiter at 24° Sagittarius H6 will be exactly afflicted by natal Rahu at 23° 40' Leo H2. Natally, the nodes afflict exactly all the even numbered houses, including H6. This natal affliction explains the belligerent attitude of the Iranian government to other countries. Natally, Jupiter afflicts L10 Mars and L3

Mercury in infancy in Pisces H9, adding to the adamantly held views and positions. This aspect should bring renewed pressure on the Iranian state, involving manipulation. A military conflict is also possible. Interestingly, at that time transit Ketu will closely afflict natal L6 Jupiter at 25° 02' Virgo and natal Rahu at 27° 28' Taurus H11 in the chart of George W.
