Dear Lalit, I can understand your frustration. It is certainly cumbersome for a beginner in Jyotish to make sense in the current mess (that is prevailing in the Jyotish scene in India) I will suggest a couple of ways to make your study more meaningful (i)Join a course of the ICAS in your area. This will give you the opportunity to study Jyotish under the guidance of experienced Jyotishis (You can also interact with the students in the course) (2)Purchase the following books: (i)Light on Life -by Hart De Fuow and Robert Svoboda (ii)Ancient Hindu Astrology for the Modern Western Astrologer--by James Braha The second book is the best book in the world for learning Jyotish (in my opinion). It was published by Motilal Banarsidass. You may enquire at Connaught Place and find some old edition perhaps (else you can order at

brahas.com) The above steps will put you on a clear path. Last by not the least,Jyotish study is a Sadhana (if done with the right approach) Any Sadhana requires immense sacrifice, patience and dedication I have been doing Jyotish for the last 11 years (and counting). The results have been worth the effort Do not worry, you have the potential just keep at it Regards, aavesh litsol <litsol wrote: Dear Sir,Thousands and thousands years of astrology have been passed, and even elementary things are not fixed, if i look at the volume of ego stored within icons, i m not able even to laugh at their greatness. In astrology every second person is a mahaguru,an avtaar of either venus or jupitor... but if u ask, a simple thing other than putting references from various books, u wont get anything. What is learnt in these

thousands years....? What was not clear to Parashara or Varahmihira .. is not clear even today. this is the progress that astrology has done, This shows indian's attitude.regards,Lalit.Vedic Astrologyandhealing , aavesh t wrote:>> Hello Lalit,> > Kya Baat hai Bhaisahab.Aap kafi Naraaz lag rahe hain ??> > Bhavat Bhavam is a very important concept in Jyotish .It should be applied after understanding it fully (very few people do understand this in entirety)> > If applied without proper understanding,it becomes a farce !!> > Regards,> > aavesh> > > litsol wrote:> I have seen, those who never checks astrology against reality rely > heavily on Bhavat Bhavam to justify their stand.. applying stupid logic > to reveal stupid answers as there
