Dear Shailesh,

Use the mean node. The true node does not consider the need for the nodes to be retrograde all the time. Another point if the true node was in the 4th house, the Sun+ Rahu would be in your 4th house..this has nothing to do with father.

Death of Father:

Step 1 : Consider the Sthira Karaka for father: Take Sun. The 2nd & 8th houses from the Sun are Aquarius and Leo and its lords are Sun, Rahu & Saturn. Of these Saturn is the strongest. Saturn becomes Pitri Rudra.

Step 2: Determine the stronger between the 3 & 9 houses..you will find the third house to be stronger. [Reason: Jupiter is in even sign as Mercury is in odd sign as both the signs are odd..oddity principle].

Step 3: Initiate Pitri shoola dasa from stronger sign. The third dasa is Aquarius in trines to Pirti Rudra Saturn. Father dies between 18 - 27 years.

Shoola dasa from 9th house (troubles and death): Now work out the exact antardasa, then look for Punya Surya, Tithi etc.

Dear Gurudev,

 

May I join in this thread - I too have a similar dilemma.

 

In my Natal Chart, Rahu is on the edge of 3rd & 4th house - mean nodes put it in 3rd House/ Sagg. & Vargottam in Navamsa lagna, where as true node places it in 4th house/ Capricorn, and vargottam in 2nd house of D-9.

 

The 4th house of Rasi chart also has SUN & VENUS, and I lost my father rather early, at the age of 24 (Rahu+Sun combination??).

 

Does it mean that the True Nodes concept works??

 

Your clarifications will be most helpful.
