Dear Seniors,

If one has to undertake a profession in academic field (for eg. a teacher,

professor etc) , what are the planetary combinations one need to consider. Is

the benefic aspect of Jupiter on 10th house one among them? .

with regards

Dhananjay

~~~ Om Sai Ram ~~~Dear Dhananjaya JiNamaskaramAs far as Teaching process finding from Astro concern, My observation is when 10L(Profession), 9L(Advance communication Skill) and 3L(Control on Speech) along with 4L(Feeding Masses) with planet Sun(authoritative), Mercury(Mental power), Saturn(working ability), Jupiter(Educational Knowledge), Moon(modifier) is involved then it is sure that person will adopt the teaching skills.
Dear Mr. Dhananjaya,
If you want to use the KP for accurate prediction, then leave the traditional concepts of PARASHARI followed now-a-days. Do not give importance to any tool that does not change fast enough. Uniqueness of Horoscope can only be distinguished by cuspal Sign Lord, Star Lord, Sub Lord and Sub Sub Lord. Our GuruJi, KSK written somewhere that retrogression, rise and combustion of planet has nothing to do, then why we are taking aspect? ... beacause aspect also doesn't change fast.
In the similar way, never use the combinations of Planets like Rajyoga, Mahapurush Yoga or etc. Instread take the combinations of Bhava (''Planet is a source, everything is stored in the Bhava"). So for the teaching profession Saturn, Rahu, Moon or any other planet is as good as Jupiter if it is connected with the bhava 9th with its Star Lord. Some scholar takes 1st and 5th house also for teaching profession.
Dear Dhananjay,
Sorry for this intervention.
Profession is mainly reflected by the X cusp. If the cusp is rules by Jupiter and Mercury as sign and star lord or vice versa one may be a teacher. The sub lord of the cusp and its associates signify the subject. These may be predicted by nature of the planets. Secondly the significators of X also may indicate one profession though not very strongly. Planets conjoined with X and those aspecting X cusp also may influence ones profession. The profession will depend on the nature of the planets governing the DB. One may change ones professions in different dasas or bhuktis depending on the DB lords.
Hope this will help you to some extent.
Dr. Rath
