Dear ramanujam,

 

The things she should avoid doing are :

 

[ 1 ] Buying toys, flowers,musical instruments on a wednesday.

[ 2 ] Having her own marriage or attending any body else's marriage

on a friday

[ 3 ] Getting a house constructed, or buying any thing of iron steel

on a saturday.

[ 4 ] She should not make any daan [ donate ] on a Sunday morning

before sun rise.

[ 5 ] She should not attend any religious function after sun set.

 

As for her reciting durga sapt sati is concerned, I think Argala

stotra should be sufficient.
