Dear Helen,

[ 1 ] Stotra is to appease a planet. It is singing the praises of

the planet. Stotra, normally end with expressions like '

pranamyamham' I bow to thee or 'sharanamyamham' .. I come to thy

shelter. No person can be better pleased than by telling him that I

seek your shelter or that I bow to you.

[ 2 ] Beej mantra is to invoke a planet, to imbibe its strength. No

wonder you would feel heat when reciting the beej mantra because you

are invoking the planet.

Sincerely,

Priya

Dear Mr. Priya, thank you very much for your explanation. It is very interesting. But still it is not clear for me their usage differences? In which condition and problems stotra planets can help us? In which condition and problems Beeja planet is good for us? Or both can effect the same way? Can we use both of them the same time for one problem? Or can we chant all nine stotra planets with nine beeja planet mantra together? Thank you very much for your explanation. Sincerely, Helen--- On Fri, 7/25/08, < wrote:

Dear Helen,

It depends on the pundit what he advises and for what purpose. When

I feel that the planet is otherwise strong and needs being appeased,

I advise to recite the Stotra. In case I feel that the planet is

rather weak then I would advise to recite the beej mantra. Both the

stotra and the beej mantra can be used for the same problem. Both of

them are planet specific and not problem specific. If advised, both

can be used for the same problem.

Sincerely,

Priya
