For better future prospects you can do the following : [ 1 ] Keep a brass bowl with a lid in the North East corner of your house. Each day for 7 days regularly place a sabut haldi ganth into this bowl. Let the bowl be there undisturbed for this year. [ 2 ] Keep in the west corner of your house a handful of Juar [ millets ] in an earthen pot. [ 3 ] Venus is your Bhagyesh [ destiny lord ], therefore in order to keep it strong and appeased recite the stotra for Venus 108 times every day. Get the stotra from the files. Add a little milk and sugar to the water before offering. On days when you can't get a red flower, you can offer orange rouli { rouli or kumkum is a reddish powder used for tilak } instead. First place the flower or rouli on the ground as if offering it to the Sun God and then pour the water slowly. The water should be poured at a place where it is not likely to be stepped upon. [ 2 ] Recitation of the Venus stotra has already been suggested. [ 3 ] Do not keep at home any broad leaf green plants, green bottles, sea shells, paper flowers, coiled ropes or cables. You should not accept any tabeez or bhabhuti from any sadhu or faqeer.
