Dear Niket ji,

There are absolutely no restrictions to have a shiv ling at home in

the pooja ghar.

The only restrictions the Shatra are said to lay down is that an

idol in a pooja ghar at home should not be more than 14 angul [ 7

inches]high. Even in this restriction, if the pooja ghar idol is

more than 14 angul and had been traditionally worshipped in the

family then it should continue to be worshipped and should not be

removed.

Sincerely,

Priya
