Dear Sushma ji,

The free will vs destiny debate has been on for ages now, and has

not come up with any conclusive results. Personally I keep out of it.

The Upaachya [ or upachaya as commonly known ] houses simply mean

that the planets placed in the Upaachya houses give results faster

than in other houses. Some people accepting the role of free will

associate Upaachya houses with free will. Since I belong to the old

school of traditional astrology, I do not give much space to free

will in the scheme of things in our lives.

Therefore I will not be able to indicate to you which areas of your

life would fall under the purview of free will.

Sincerely,

Priya
