Guest guest
Namaskar Chandrashekarji and RKDa, Chandrashekarji : You have given a brilliant expalanation of why these three Bhavas constitute the Moksha Trikona In today's world, these Bhavas (particularly the 8th and 12th) are being used to look at sexual relationships exclusively. This approach is very shortsighted in my opinion This is the problem with learning Jyotish through books.A good Jyotish Guru will guide his Shishyas about the undercurrents of each Bhava which a book (however brilliant) can't !! The 8th house when seen in the esoteric sense deals with spirituality (particularly when associated with Sattwic Grahas like Guru and Ketu in strength) The 12th Bhava apart from dealing with 'Sayana Sukha' deals with Meditation,Samadhi and Moksha The inner meanings of these Bhavas will only come to light when one contemplates on the Bhavas in light of the classics of Jyotish Sadly given the present culture of Fast Food and Twenty-20 cricket, this is too much to expect !! RKDa:Pls continue your line of thoughts on this topic. I will provide a few horoscopes to further this discussion Regards, aavesh Chandrashekhar <sharma.chandrashekhar wrote: Dear R K da,I think the confusion is caused by looking at the bhavas in a unidirectional fashion. 8th house is also death and rebirth, 4th is state of happiness and the place of one's origin (as the motherland) and 12th is leaving this world, besides other terms associated with the bhavas. it is unfortunate that these days only sexual activities are thought to give one happiness and that perhaps is why the current generation connects the 4, 8, 12 bhavas with Bhoga. I think people tend to forget that state of happiness can exists in all stages of life but that is not the case with sexual activities and therefore they can not be equated to happiness that is indicated by the 4th bhava. If we understand that the 4th is representative of Mother, House and vehicle (amongst many other attributes) and the happiness related to the 4th means the happiness one gets from the feeling of protection that one gets in the lap of the mother or own house or in one's own vehicle and then understand that one can experience the same happiness when one becomes one with the Parabrahman from whose lap we get detached when we are born, then it might be easier to understand why 4th, 8th and 12th constitute the Moksha trikona. We should also understand that as we proceed from the 8th to the 7th bhava we leave the visible portion of the zodiac and enter the invisible half and as we leave the unrisen Lagna and proceed towards the 12th bhava we proceed from the invisible zodiac to the visible half. This is synonymous to our stages from the birth to death and death to birth and the connection with Moksha should be quite easy to see. I hope I have not made this into a very lengthy comment on why the 4, 8 and 12 are the 3 points of the Moksha trikona and the readers are able to follow the logic easily.Regards,Chandrashekhar.arkaydash wrote: Chandrasekhar Sa'ab namaste The attempt Lalit is making may sound like rechristening the threesome, but actually he is trying to make sense, for example, of the role a house like 4th plays in attainging moksha. We have to tell him how 4th plays that role, and how 12th, and finally 8th. Just saying 8th siginfies the secret, the hidden, the guhya may not be enough. Gupt anga (secret organ) is read from 8th too. Now, 12th for bed, 8th for secret organ, and 4th for delight (okay, happiness) -- that can prompt someone to say they are bhoga trikona? I have tried to say in my previous post that bhoga can be both ways, not that which is happy, alone. In other words, we have to tell this 'generation' and to an extent ourselves quite how 4, 8, 12 steer the glorious exit, which moksha in our tradition is conceptualised as -- in the four-fold essence of human birth (in an ideal condition, I think). Maybe, we will have to compare the kama trikona with this trikona with a few example horoscopes where both the trikonas have been straddled, so as to ensure a cogent illustration. I think you could steer such a thread. Guest guest
Dear Aavesh, Thank you for your comments. I agree that the inner meaning of bhavas only comes out when read in light of Jyotish classics. Take care, Chandrashekhar. aavesh t wrote: Namaskar Chandrashekarji and RKDa, Chandrashekarji : You have given a brilliant expalanation of why these three Bhavas constitute the Moksha Trikona In today's world, these Bhavas (particularly the 8th and 12th) are being used to look at sexual relationships exclusively. This approach is very shortsighted in my opinion This is the problem with learning Jyotish through books.A good Jyotish Guru will guide his Shishyas about the undercurrents of each Bhava which a book (however brilliant) can't !!
