One thing in Jyotish in my opinion is that we with him awakening material reality, karma, intellect, mind, etc. But that is not goal of Vedas, because of that this is just Vedanga, just a tool on that path. Atman is not material thing, because of that we must to go in side our self, not outside, like we do in Jyotish when we look in some chart. Science for self realization is Yoga not Jyotish. Jyotish is good science because we learn about universal principles and how is work, but just that. Every Vedic science have own limitations in comparison with Yoga, when is Atmagyan is the goal.
