Guest guest
Om sri subrahmanyaaya namah Dear Lalit, Dashadhyayi, 10 chapters is a commentary on Brihat Jataka. The results given by planets in dustana are: Benefics increase the strength of the bhava and malefics decrease the strength. If benefics are in the 6,8,12 then adverse results should be predicted. However a benefic in the 8th should increase longevity. A benefic in the 6th will destroy enemies. Satyacharya says that malefics in the 6,8,12 will increase the bad results of the bhava. However the Dasadhyayi author says all planets in 8 & 12 can increase the ill effects. Benefic in the 6th on the contrary will destroy enemies (or there wont be any enemies). In the 8th Jupiter has mean condition, in 12th knavish, in the 6th without enemies. The results of Venus is attributed like Jupiter. Sun in the 8th is adverse for progeny and gives eye defects. In the 12th will make one degraded or an outcaste, results of Saturn and Mars are similar. Therefore in the 8th and 12th all planets give adverse results. However Venus in the 12th gives very good results. Malefics other than in 3,11 and benefics in the 3,6,8,12 and Gulika in Kendra,trikona,8th all cause ailments. Benefics in the 8th is good for longevity. Malefics though good in 6,3,11, those in 6th result in a wound. These can be seen from Moon sign also. * * * Will write about Chamatkara Chintamani next. It gives bhava results for all planets. Pandita Rajan, Punnasseri Nampi Neelankanta Sarma , my grand father's Guru (http://www.sngscollege.info/founder.aspx) translated the text into Malayalam. He says the bhava results in this text is similar to that given by Varahamihira. I have high respect for Varahamihira so will try to write this next. Best regards, Saaji Bhaskaran
