Guest guest
Respected Sir,Some books (like ‘Hindu Predictive Astrology’ by B. V. Raman etc.) provide details of the results of the mahadasha/antardash a of different planets according to the Ascendant. For example--- For the ascendant Aries, results of Jupiter/Saturn period… etc.Now my doubt isthese results, we don’t take care of the placement of planets in the horoscope and we are also advised to follow these results to predict the results. It might be possible that the placement of these planets is not favourable for a horoscope, then how can we believe in the authenticity of these results (without taking care of positions of planets) ???Thanks and Regards, saurabh************ ********* ********* ********* ********* ********* ****"Kuchh Sapanon Ke Mar Jaane Se, Jeevan Nahin Maraa Karataa Hai" Cricket on your mind? Guest guest
Dear Sir, Placement of Planets, their astronomical status and the house tend to be affected are all integral part of our study to venture for prediction. During dasa/antar dasa the results likely to be endorsed certainly depends on placement of these lords. Also if astromically, palnet becomes vakri due to proximity to sun in the zodiac belt, most of the planets become retrograde in motion irrespective of the planets in the outer or inner belts. It is quite often aphenomenon to find mercury, venus and mars become retrograde. As retro planets are considered as strong we need to take into account for predictive purposese. vrkrishnan--- On Fri, 8/8/08, saurabh chaturvedi <chaturvedisaurabh2002 wrote: saurabh chaturvedi <chaturvedisaurabh2002[Vedic Astrologyandhealing] To Chandrashekhar sir---Regarding the results in the mahadasha/anrardasha of planets"Vedic Astrology" <Vedic Astrologyandhealing >Friday, August 8, 2008, 2:57 AM Respected Sir,Some books (like ‘Hindu Predictive Astrology’ by B. Guest guest
Dear Saurabh, One has to remember that this is a vast science and there are many parameters which have to be simultaneously applied to understand what is likely to happen in future. The results given are based on the functional nature of planets when it is said that these results will ensue for this particular Lagna. The general indication of whether the results will be positive or negative in respect of certain bhavas is understood from that. Then you have to understand what placement of grahas will do to individual bhavas and then co-ordinate this with the position of transit planet to arrive at the final results. If we take only literal meaning of what is said, without considering what is written elsewhere in the texts, we are more than likely to fail in predictions. As an example for Aries Lagna, Jupiter is a functional benefic whereas Saturn is not so in the generally good period of Jupiter the sub period of Saturn is likely to give some negative results. However if at the time of such dasha the 10th or 11th bhava (owned by Saturn) gets aspect of occupation of a natural benefic or own lord, some good in respect of those bhavas will still ensue. Take care, Chandrashekhar. saurabh chaturvedi wrote:  Respected Sir, Some books (like ‘Hindu Predictive Astrology’ by B. V.
