Guest guest
"JalughaMagna Sachara - chara dhara VishaannKotyaa - Akhil VishvaMurtina ,Samudhata yena VaraahRupina sa me SvayamBhur Bhagvan Prasidatu"Gurus and Group,I m going to share a unbelievable but true experience with u, You wont believe that I have not bought a copy of any of VarahaMihira's work, though having great curiosity and respect for him, In fact, truth is, I tried 3 times to buy his Brihat Jataka but I cold not, When first time I hold his book on my hand, I started feeling very bad, a hatred senstation ran in my veins and i put the book back on the shelf. I didnt understand why it happened. After 2 months, I again tried to buy the book as i was despirate for it, I had same experience, I could not buy it. Last week, I tried to buy Daivagya Vallabha but had to return the book. What wrong VarahaMihira did ? I felt like lots of corruption.Luckily, this 3 day's leave, thus getting a long weekend, I got missing copy of "BioGraphy of BanBhatt", Banbhatt is known to 2nd Kalidasa of Sanskrit literature, he shows great respect for Kalidasa but exihibits his originality and doesnt hide his interest in spirituality, he tries to explore both practical and theorotical side of tantras - Vama Marga, Baudha, Bhairava and Aghora.BanBhatta shows his access to Jyotisha also and most importantly criticizes Varahamihira and others, He says to himself that Yavan's are corrupting our Arsha Praneet Jyotisha with their stupid concepts, He also criticizes, Baudha's SaugatMarga. What he finds intolerable is Yavan's stating Sukra and Shashi are female grahas, he says as Venus and Diena are females in Grece that's why some astrologers cascaded them in Indian diaspora as female graha.BanBhatta also disliked Graha Maitree, he says, in our purans and classics, there is no endorsement of Graha Maitree bandha.he openly says, Yavan's Hora Shastra and Prashan Shastra are all bogus and based on guesswork only.Pt. Hazari Prasad Dwivedi (A great scholar and a product of Shanti Niketan) who composed this BioGraphy of BanBhatta, was himself a great authority on Jyotisha.I enjoyed reading this book very much, The story moves around a daredevil brahmin young man and his half awakened kundalini and then his mind's preperation by one Avadhuta and a Baba Aghore Bhairava, who instilled deep faith for Maha Varaha (Ugra Vishnu) in his innocent mind by showing a preview of imminent future's incident, almost the same way Thakur Ramakrishna Paramahansha did to Vivekanana, It's a long long tradition between a Guru and Shishya.Ban Bhatta wanted to restore Vedic culture back to Indian soil and for that he fights a series of battle, he admires great Milinda who fought against Hunas, He also likes YashoVerman too.He becomes an escort to kidnapped daughter of DevPutra Milinda (Who ended Huna's terror in Indian Soil) and during his journey, reaches peak of his sadhana, I find it's worth quoting 2 verses said by him -1. "Eevery particle of the cosmos is god, you worship the god in which form TripuraSundari has influenced u most".2. It's wrong to fear and hide ur instincts (Pravittis), accept them and also do not get ashamed of them, The purush get's divine pleasure in a true state of "Vastu Vichhina (Un attached) Bhava", he is Nissanga, Nir Dvandva (Non Dual) and Liberated. Shtri (Women) is Ashakta (Attached to Man), Dvandva (Dual minded) and Bandha (Bounded to Man). But do not think of urself either as a Man or Woman, recognise that in a Man, Prakriti's (Woman) exposition is less than that of Man's (Purusha) exposition. Same way , in a woman, The Manly element's exposition is less than that of Woman (Prakriti's element). A sadhaka gets completeness by overcoming both the exposition, which comes by first getting the missing Purush or Prakriti element and seeing within the exposition of the same.Hope u will also try to read great sanskrit literature, BanBhatta was born in Rewa, My home town.I have all reasons and ground to say these Deepak Kapoor's dontunderastand a bit of indian spirituality nor they have any experience of true sadhana.regards,Lalit.
