Group,

How, an incorrect approach lands astrologers in trouble can be seen in following post of Journal of Astrology, they propose at least 3 ascendents for our country, India -

1. Capricorn, Proposed by Varahmihira and followed by Prof K N Rao2. Virgo, Proposed by B.V Raman and followed by ICAS 3. Taurus, Based on 15'th August 1947's independence chart.

So, we have got 3 ascendents for our country, the author of the article Mr Deepak Bisaria is a nice scholar with patriotic approach, he couldn't ignore Jup's influence over India, I have been sending him mails after mails regarding Jup-Mars influence on country, somehow, he looks inclined towards 4'th ascendent for india which is Saggitarius.

I have always said that countries chart and approach of ascendence is incorrect, sages had observed planets transiting over a rashi/nakshatra affects different parts of world differently, It w'd be very helpful to astrologers if they come up with more studies in the vedic direction.

You can read excerpts of the Deepak Bisaria's article, He is a goot writer :

Brihat -Samhita of Varahamihira (575 A.D) fixes the ascendant for India (Bharat Varsha of that time stretching to present Afghanistan towards the West and Burma to the East ) as Capricorn. In the brilliant book on mundane astrology by M.S. Mehta and Radhika, the ascendant is Capricorn and Scorpio for Delhi. B.V. Raman fixed Virgo as the ascendant. Which is the relevant ascendant in the pre-independence era or during Ram Rajya needs yet to be ascertained. Mr. K.N. Rao, presently the best in mundane astrology, finds convincing results from Capricorn ascendant for India and Leo as the ascendant of the U.S. Today, with complex problems in front and spirituality on the back burner Taurus as ascendant for India's Independence horoscope has been consistently giving convincing results.

With the swing and a shift of ascendants for different nations, perhaps due to ayanamsha or other reasons, it is possible that the ascendant for India at some time becomes Sagittarius as it is adjacent to Capricorn. This presumption gets support in view of India's spiritual wealth and a rich cultural heritage that still stands undisputed. The Jupitarean influence can be felt even now with spirituality still persisting in the atmosphere, perhaps, as a result of the collective tapasya of so many rishis done on its soil !

India was known as the land where rivers of honey and milk flowed and coined , the golden bird (sone ki chidiya). In the north of India we have mountains from where rivers perennially flow. This blessing of Jupiter is still to be properly harnessed, when done perhaps it would give relief from scarcity of power and water. Middle (madhya Bharat )and South have mountains loaded with minerals and metals. And to add to the riches, we have coastline of line of 6100 kms that garlands the nation.

Dear Lalit Babu,

Thanks again for raising the question of Ascendant of India. I would like to submit to the readers that the question of navamsha should also be think over. Without being vargottam lagna India can not be Golden Sparrow and Guru of the World. So Sagittarius Navamsha lagna is appropriate. One go deep in the history and search for the navamsha lagna.

On the one hand, there are vedic sages and their discoveries and on the other hand there is a handful people with expertise in either post event analysis or with expertise in analysis of known things, Jyotish world has to decide whom to follow - sages or mushrooming scholars who can comfortably tell about a country like india with two lagnas - makar and vrishabha.

Nobody other then me could tell that there w'd be no terror attack on India like 26/11 despite repeated warnings, It requires lot's of courage and confidence on principles used, and these guys can see, no terror attack happened since 15'th august 2009, the messages is posted in the group, any body can read it.

True Vedic approach is rock solid and infallible, Varahmihira is the one who corrupted vedic principles of predictive jyotish, It was he who said India's lagna is Makar and same is followed by Prof K.N Rao and others, however, no one tried to know Varahmihira had no base saying like this, he had not mentioned anything in his support, and Prof K.N Rao and other scholars simply believed Varahmihira's work which is wrong, irony is they are using both Vrisabh lagna as well as Makar Lagna in their post event researches.

I when saw, challanges are put before jyotish, conduted an earnest study for the benefit of jyotishis and with a purpose to bring them back to right track, have given 1000 yrs data for both - Andhra Troubles and removal of troops from kashmir, and predicted immediate future events, after the prediction, events came true, It's infallible.

How countries chart came into existence is just becoz of the fact that in the lack of tools and awareness some jyotishis in the decade of 70-80 started applying approch of individual's chart over countries also and as those are post event analysis, they themselves and their students got satisfied, a false satisfaction.

Just ask anybody who could dare write that there will be no terror attack like 26/11, next day after PM's warning, who could dare predict fall of communists and who could dare tell that there is no immediate division of the Andhra Pradesh.

In fact, their tear is flowing is because they could not predict anything like this, because, their approach is wrong, their way of understanding mundane astrology is wrong despite they have dumped books on mundane matters.

Before everybody, I said that there will be dispute in europian union in mid 2011, you can check if that comes correct or not, what's europe's lagna, let them spend their life time in fixing it.

regards,Lalit Mishra.
