Iceland - transit afflictions and a drop in the exahange rate

In the 9° 30' Virgo rising chart for Iceland there have been several difficult transit afflictions in the chart in the first part of 2008. These afflictions involve the indicators of currency (Sun, Moon, 2nd house or 11th house).

In the early months of 2008, a nodal station took place with Rahu at around 3° Aquarius and the 6th house of the chart from where it was closely afflicting the natal 12th lord Sun at 3° 08' Gemini and 10th house and 2nd lord Venus at 0° 30' Gemini and 10th house. This aspect has since separated with respect to the Sun but been close until recently with regard to natal Venus as 2nd lord in the chart. These aspects have created a lot of tension in financial markets and the ISK has dropped.

More recently, 6th lord Saturn, which has been transiting Leo and the 12th house, has recently been stationary afflicting the most effective point of the 12th house - and thereby also the 2nd house of wealth (including currency) and the 9th house of luck. Transit Saturn has also been aspecting its own natal placement at 6° 33' Gemini in the 10th house. Natally, Saturn afflicts both the most effective house of the 10th house - and thereby the 12th, 4th and 7th houses - as well as the 12th lord Sun, also an indicator of the currency. These contacts have been associated with a further weakening in the ISK, as the attached graph shows.
