Dear friends,

To demonstrate the predictive power of SA on the basis of authentic charts, it is necessary to recall the predictions.

As you may recall, from early November 2007 to March 2008, there were some exchanges on this list concerning the fortunes of Pervez Musharraff, the President of Pakistan.

In early November 2007, the political situation in Pakistan had become exceedingly dire and many were predicting his immediate downfall. Based on his chart and SA, I predicted that

if Pres. Musharraf were to survive until mid November 2007 his position would then begin to incrementally strengthen. (powerless Venus sub-period)

by mid January 2008 his power would return (powerful Sun sub-period)

by June 2008 he would begin to face renewed strains (nodal station on his natal Sun)

during July 26-29, 2008 he would face a very difficult time (other malefic transits)

Predictions 1 and 2 have now been realised. Moreover, it looks like prediction 3 has begun to be realised.

In the March 2008 elections, a new government was elected which is considered hostile to President Musharraf. Today, there is news he is now back under pressure. He is denying rampant rumours that he will step down in coming days. The coming few months suggest a difficult time for him.

Best,

November 3, 2007

“The 28° Scorpio rising chart of Pervez Musharraf is showing the developments exactly as per the Systems Approach.

1. The Ma/Ve period is operating since November 2006. As Venus is at 0° 00' Cancer H9, it is absolutely powerless. It is therefore not surprising that the normally more passive judiciary branch of government and religious groups have become a thorn in his side, undermining his power.

2. In recent months the nodal station on top of his natal nodes and L6 Mars, along with transit L4 Saturn, has caused him a great deal of trouble. Fortunately, Saturn is strong and well placed in H7 aspecting also L9 Moon in Cancer H9. The nodal affliction in his chart is improving by the day as the nodes are no longer stationary. is soon to lift, By 16 November, the nodes will be 2° removed from the natal nodes, giving him more breathing space.

3. Importantly, transit L12 Venus has been in Leo H10 but has now entered Virgo H11, where it is debilitated and weak. However, it is still well placed. Its transit weakness has nevertheless seen an increase in his troubles. Venus will enter Libra H12 on 1 December, where it will also not be so helpful to him. Venus remains weak in transit for Scorpios until end of December 2007, when it enters Scoprio H1.

4. Transit L2 Jupiter is currently conjunct his H1 MEP giving him protection while his L10 Sun is weak in transit in Libra H12, where it is debilitated. Transit Jupiter will pass into Sagittarius H2 on 22 November. Shortly before that, on 17 November, L10 Sun will move into Scorpio H1. The transit situation with regard to his position should thus increase in late November.

5. On 14 January 2008, Musharraf will enter the Ma/Su period. As L10 Sun at 25° Cancer is strong in the chart and placed on H9 MEP it is the real source of his political power and what makes him a leader.

Should Pervez Musharraf survive the present challenge until the middle of this month, it is likely his position will begin to incrementally improve. Should he manage to cling to power until mid January 2008, he would then be expected to consolidate his power and remain head of state for some more time. However, the present transits are quite difficult and it is also interesting that his Sun will be burdened with a nodal station at 24° 30' Cancer during the middle of 2008. So, even then, he is likely to be confronted with another crisis. “

February 16, 2008

“As for Pervez Musharraf, we know that he is now in the Mars-Sun

period and Sun is 10th lord in the most effective point of his 9th

house. As was predicted in November 2007, his position has

strengthened in the Sun period, after the extreme turbulence he

encountered in 2007 when the sub-period of an utterly powerless Venus

was operating in his chart. During the present nodal transit, which

is conjunct his natal 11th lord Mercury in the 10th house, his income

or public aspirations could be severely strained or disturbed.

On May 21, 2008 the Sun sub-period ends and the Moon sub-period

begins. The Moon as 9th lord is placed in the 9th house and receives

an aspect from the 7th lord Saturn in the 7th house. While the Moon

is weakened by being so close to his Sun, but then again the Sun is

boosting the indications of the Moon by aspecting the 9th house. The

Sun and Moon gain extra strength by being placed in a Sun-like house.

This should therefore be a lucky period for him.

From late June 2008, however, the nodes will pass over his Sun and

become stationary within 1°. This placement will again put great

strain on his position. At that time, transit 4th lord Saturn will be

passing over his natal Rahu and natal 6th lord Mars in the 10th

house, with manipulations by inimical people likely to disturb his

peace of mind.

Around July 26-28, 2008, 12th lord Venus will also pass over the

natal Sun and stationary Ketu. This could be a difficult time for him

when he would be adviced to take good care. It should be helpful to

him to have transit 2nd lord Jupiter in the 2nd house exactly

opposite his natal Jupiter in the 8th house and aspecting his transit

6th lord Mars in the 10th house. However, as Jupiter is badly placed

natally in the 8th house it is a rather weak benefic for him.”

February 18, 2008

“In the 28° Scorpio rising chart, the MARS major period and SUN sub-period are running until 21 May 2008. The 10th lord Sun is moderately strong at 25° 02' Cancer and closely influencing the 9th and 3rd houses, explaining why he is a political strongman. As 9th lord MOON, the dispositor of the Sun, is combust the Sun natally, it weakens the Sun but an aspect from 4th lord Satun to Moon is helpful.

On election day, the Sun will still be transit conjunct the stationary nodal axis, which is stationary afflicting exactly his 11th lord MERCURY at 3° 46' Leo and 10th house. The dispositor of the Sun in transit is 4th lord SATURN. On election day Saturn will be at 11° 38' Leo where it is conjunct his natal FM RAHU at 11° 10' Leo and 6th lord Mars at 13° 17' Leo. This indicates the sub-period lord, the Sun, is really under a lot of pressure. Also, this natal placement of Rahu and Mars exaplains vividly why his life has been embroiled in such crisis in the autumn of 2007 when transit KETU and transit Saturn became conjunct at those degrees, which contain these malefics natally.

Given the dire transits, it looks like Musharraf will be faced with a difficult outcome. However, the transit position of the Sun and Saturn will begin to improve in March 2008.

As there is no information about other candidates, it is hard to predict the outcome of the election. All we can say is that the period influence for Musharraf is generally supportive but the transit influences on election day are not. However, a couple of weeks after the elections the transits seem to improve.

That said, during his Mars/Moon period, the nodes will become stationary at around 24° 40' Capricorn and Cancer from June to September 2008 - right on top of his natal Sun at 25° 02' Cancer. At that time, he will likely face a renewed crisis.”

Dear friends,

The November 2007 prediction for President Pervez Musharraf to face

increasing strain or difficulty during the nodal station this summer,

which takes place closely conjunct his natal 10th lord Sun in the 9th

house have been realised.

The government coalition parties have been in talks whether to

impeach him. An announcement is expected later today. The President

has delayed his plan to attend the opening cermonies in Beijing

tomorrow.

Best wishes,

Ruling parties in Musharraf talks

Pakistan's ruling alliance is expected to decide whether to begin

moves to try to impeach President Pervez Musharraf, following three

days of talks.

Mr Musharraf has delayed his departure to China to attend the opening

of the Olympics, after earlier suggestions he might cancel the trip

entirely.

The president's allies were defeated in elections in February, but he

has so far resisted pressure to quit.

Dear friends,

The prediction on SAMVA on November 4, 2007 has been realised:

"Should Pervez Musharraf survive the present challenge until themiddle of this month, it is likely his position will begin toincrementally improve. Should he manage to cling to power until midJanuary 2008, he would then be expected to consolidate his power andremain head of state for some more time. However, the presenttransits are quite difficult and it is also interesting that his Sunwill be burdened with a nodal station at 24° 30' Cancer during themiddle of 2008. So, even then, he is likely to be confronted withanother crisis. "

The BBC reports the government is now working to oust him. The nodes are having their effect. Moreover, the conjunction of the Sun with the stationary nodal axis is only a few days ago, and sufficiently close to the time of the eclipse on August 1, 2008 to matter. Today, transit 6th lord Mars is exactly conjunct his 10th house MEP. Transit 4th lord SATURN is also exactly conjunct his 6th lord MARS at 13° 17' Leo and 10th house. Transit 9th lord MOON, the dispositor of his natal SUN, is also badly placed in the 12th house and hence its protective power is reduced.

In a few days time, transit 12th lord VENUS, now at 8° Leo, will move over his natal Rahu at 11° 10' Leo and 10th house. At that time, transit 10th lord SUN will also have become exactly conjunct the stationary nodal axis. From this we can see that todays events are well explained by the transits and that the problems will likely continue for Musharraf through the weekend. With both his natal and transit 10th lord SUN afflicted by the stationary nodes while its dispositor has become temporarily weak in transit, explains why his troubles have now suddenly erupted. With Moon remaining weak over the weekend, being debilitated in his 1st house, it is possible he will experience some setback in coming days. That said, we should note the natal strength of the SUN, indicating a reserve of strength which may prevent lasting damage. Maybe some compromise will be struck or there may be pressure brought to bear on the situation

from his US ally, President Bush. Interesting chart and situation.

I'd be interested in others view on this chart and likely outcome.

Best wishes,

Thor

Correction:

Moreover, the conjunction of the Sun with the stationary nodal axis

is only a few days AWAY,

Dear Thor,

Ur analysis is exact. In my view the most crucial day could be 11 august 2008, as on this day his present sub period lord moon shall be debiliated in tr and exactly afflicted by tr ketu. At that time tr and natal sun are also exactly afflicted by nodes.Lord of 6h which helps in overcoming enemies i.e. mars in tr is in infant and has only 20% strength. The planets transiting thru his h10 also become weak due to weakness of their disp sun. Thus on 11 aug 2008 at around 17 hrs ( pakistan time ) could be very crucial and could be a turning point of his life.So lets wait and watch for coming days.Best Regards Ajay.--- On Thu, 8/7/08, cosmologer <cosmologer wrote:

Moreover, the conjunction of the Sun with the stationary nodal axis is only a few days AWAY, and sufficiently close to the time of the eclipse on August 1, 2008 to matter. Today, transit 6th lord Mars is exactly conjunct his 10th house MEP. Transit 4th lord SATURN is also exactly conjunct his 6th lord MARS at 13° 17' Leo and 10th house. Transit 9th lord MOON, the dispositor of his natal SUN, is also badly placed in the 12th house and hence its protective power is reduced.> In a few days time, transit 12th lord VENUS, now at 8° Leo, will move over his natal Rahu at 11° 10' Leo and 10th house. At that time, transit 10th lord SUN will also have become exactly conjunct the stationary nodal axis. From this we can

see that todays events are well explained by the transits and that the problems will likely continue for Musharraf through the weekend. Dear Ajay,

Thank you for the additional analysis.

Regarding the transit of 6th lord MARS, it was conjunct 10th house

MEP at the escalation of this crisis yesterday. So placed, it helps

to harm his position. In coming days, it becomes weak but well placed

in transit, which is also not helpful by temporarily reducing

his 'competitive' strength. In a message on SAMVA on June 7, 2008, I

noted the fact that " The CONJUNCTION of 6th lord MARS with KETU over

his natal 10th lord SUN is adding to the pressue. " This is when the

indications of his present troubles started taking form.

In a message on SAMVA on June 1, 2008, I also suggested " The

coming few months suggest a difficult time for him. "

It is, however, the ACCURATE PREDICTION since last year of a crisis

for the President of Pakistan " during the middle of 2008 " , based on

the analysis of the influence of the transit stationary nodes on his

Sun, that is the most important thing to note.

It is likely but not certain that he will experience a permanent

setback to his position in coming days. Here we must consider

impressive natal strengths against very difficult transit

afflictions to the very same natal strengths. Already, the predicted

crisis has erupted and now we can observe how it goes - including at

the specific time suggested by you.

Best wishes,

Thor

Dear list members,

It seems the pressure is slowly mounting against the President, with

the legislature now voting that his position must be subject to a

vote of confidence there, which he would likely lose. As it stands,

the outlook for him to remain in power much longer therefore does not

appear bright. However, it remains to be seen what his reaction will

be. That said, unlike before, he no longer is the head of the Armed

forces and hence, unless he can count on the armed forces, he can not

resort to such means as suspending the constitution and dissolving

the parliament. These are clearly interesting and tense times in

Pakistan.

Best wishes,

Thor

PA resolution demands President to seek vote of confidence

Updated at: 2115 PST, Monday, August 11, 2008

LAHORE: Punjab Assembly Monday passed a resolution unanimously

demanding President Pervez Musharraf to seek vote of confidence.

A total of 321 votes supported the resolution whereas only 25 went

against it.

The resolution states that under the Constitution, Punjab Assembly is

part of Electoral College and that the house deems Presidential

election of October 2007 as un-constitutional.

President Musharraf suspended the Constitution twice, violated the

Constitution and overthrew democratic government.

The resolution said President is supposed to be a representative of

the Federation but President Musharraf weakend the Federation and

inter-provincial harmony leading to a sense of deprivation among

provinces.

His policies plunged the country into political, economic as well as

power crisis.

The resolution demanded President Pervez Musharraf to seek vote of

confidence from the four provincial assemblies including Punjab

Assembly. Failing to get the vote, an impeachment motion would be

moved against him, it added.
