Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama on Friday began a week-long vacation with family in Hawaii, pulling back from the campaign trail after a new poll this week showed that nearly half of Americans felt they had been hearing "too much" about Obama lately. Obama said the unrelenting pace of a historic primary campaign against Hillary Clinton had given him little time to rest, unlike his Republican rival John McCain who wrapped up his party's nomination three months earlier, in March. But the vacation also comes after a poll by the Pew Research Centre on Wednesday showed that 48 per cent of voters had been "hearing too much about Obama lately."

Speaking in front of thousands of people might not be everyone's idea of a holiday, but for Barack Obama, arriving in his home state of Hawaii last night, it was a chance to say "see you on the beach".

The Democratic Party candidate said he would use his vacation to write the speech he will give to the Democratic convention later this month when he is officially selected by the party to run for president.

"Hawaii is paradise, but folks are having trouble in a paradise too," he said before a meeting with his supporters at Keehi Lagoon Beach Park near Honolulu airport, where his plane landed at a private terminal.

Mr Obama told the large crowd that turned up to welcome him that he and his wife Michelle wanted to thank the state's residents for their help in the primaries.

The Obama family then went to visit the senator's grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, 85, whose osteoporosis stops her from travelling long distances to see her grandson.

Senator Barack Obama is reportedly the subject of a $100 million FBI security operation after the Democratic presidential nominee was named as a target in a series of death threats from at least three White supremacists organizations; the National Socialist Vanguard, the American Nazi Party, and the Ku Klux Klan. The move, ordered by Homeland Security director Michael Chertoff, is the biggest ever security operation surrounding a candidate for president. Obama, his wife Michelle, and the couple’s two daughters are under round-the-clock protection from the Secret Service.

“All three groups are seen as posing a threat. But the Klan, in particular, has a nucleus of supporters who are prepared to pursue violence to get their message across,” says an operation insider. “Certain characters would be making a very big mistake if they tried to follow through any of these nasty threats.”

Luckily, his Moon, 7L residing in the fifth house is exalted, well placed and strong in the rasi and very well placed in the navamsa as well as shastamsa, ashtamsa D8, ekadasamsha D11. Also it's well placed in D20, Vimsamsha, Worship (he is worshipping the waves;)) and D24 Education, Chaturvimsamsha.

The " family holiday " in Hawaii has been mentioned as motivated to 1)

give him much needed rest and 2) to prevent overexposure in the

media.

 

With an estimated $100 million being spent by the Secret Service to

protect him and his family, it is likely that the decision also had

to do with a need to 3) reduce his exposure to potentially dangerous

situations.

 

The choice of Hawaii clearly has to do with it being a very nice

place and the home to his family. But it would also be easier to

manage security on an island than elsewhere.

 

Let's hope the tension becomes less as transit 8th lord SUN moves out

of its conjunction with the stationary nodal axis.
