Guest guest
Dear friends, The astrological situation in the UK is not getting any easier. In the financial market, things are quite difficult. The Bank of England has decided to keep interest rates at a relatively high level of 5%. This is not making investors any happier. Today, the FTSE share price index has fallen steeply, over 2,5%. The Pound has however recovered some of its recent fall. There are several things going on in the 16° Virgo rising chart for the UK. A dual malefic period is running, Mars-Saturn period. Such periods can indicate adverse conditions if the planets are afflicting natally. Mars is conjunct the MEP of the 8th house, aspecting the 11th house of income, 2nd house of wealth and 3rd house of activity. Clearly, all these fields are being reported to be doing worse. - transit 6th lord SATURN and 12th lord SUN are exactly conjunct in the 12th house - transit 8th lord MARS with the MEP of the 1st house as well as the 1st lord MERCURY - transit 2nd lord VENUS is also involved in the affliction by transit MARS - transit RAHU is also conjunct natal 2nd lord VENUS - transit 4th lord JUPITER is also exactly conjunct natal 12th lord SUN in the 4th house. The transits are therefore evidently taking a heavy toll. Even then, I would not be surprised if some notable setback were to take place in the UK shortly, in addition to the financial market difficulties. Best wishes, Thor Cosmologer <cosmologersamva Sent: Saturday, August 30, 2008 9:30:37 AM UK: Chancellor warns of economic crisis Dear friends The outlook for the UK economy is not particularily bright at the moment. In the 16° Virgo rising chart, Ma/Sa period is operating. Natally, 6th lord SATURN is badly placed and weak due to also infancy at 2° 17' Leo in the 12th house. Its dispositor, 12th lord SUN, is well placed at 19° Sagittarius, but its strength is zapped by its own afflicting aspect to the 4th house where it resides and the 10th house. So, the indications for financial stability are not very good in the UK chart. In early September, the conjunct of transit SUN and SATURN in the MEP of the 12th house is going to inflame the issue a bit, not least because transit stationary RAHU at 24° 34' is conjunct natal 2nd lord VENUS at 25° 27' Capricorn and 5th house. Moreover, while 8th lord MARS is conjunct the 1st house MEP, wherefrom it aspects the 4th house, 7th house and its own 8th house, things would also be expected to become more stressful in the UK. Not surprisingly, during a period of the lord of financial stability (a 6th house matter) placed in the house of losses is operating and when the transits turn quite bad, the Chancellor the Exchequer (equivalent to a Minister of Finance in most countries or Secretary of the Treasury in the USA), Sir Alistair Darling, has admitted to the grave difficulty. Page last updated at 07:50 GMT, Saturday, 30 August 2008 08:50 UK Darling warns of economic crisis The UK is facing its worst economic crisis in 60 years, Chancellor Alistair Darling has admitted. Alistair Darling is under pressure to come up with solutions to the crisis He told the Guardian newspaper that the economic downturn would be more "profound and long-lasting" than most people had feared. Using strong language, Mr Darling acknowledged voters were angry with Labour's handling of the economy. Shadow chancellor George Osborne said Mr Darling had "let the cat out of the bag" about the state of the economy. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/7589291.stm Best wishes, Thor
