Racial tensions have run high in France - and are linked to the placement of 9th lord SATURN being placed in old age in the 6th house of the chart under the aspect of natal KETU in the 10th house. This aspect brings separation or isolation to those described by Saturn, notably immigrants, those working for low income and also of foreign descent (9th lord influence). - Transit RAHU in the 10th house was closely aspecting transit SATURN in the 2nd house. Saturn in the 6th house is natally afflicted by Ketu in the 10th house of the executive. Rahu's aspect in the 10th house touched off a misadventure of two youths who were accidentally electrecutued while hiding from the police.

- Transit 5th lord VENUS was exactly conjunct natal SATURN and under aspect from natal KETU when the youths died and the riots broke out.

- Transit 4th lord MERCURY, the dispositor of natal VENUS, was also placed in infancy in the 6th house.

 

End of riot:

- transit VENUS had moved into Sagittarius and 7th house.

- transit RAHU to transit SATURN aspect continued, so tensions continued high for some time after most of the battles. However, the government granted some visible concessions to the immigrant communities to obtain peace.

- Transit 7th lord JUPITER was conjunct natal JUPITER in the 5th house.

You found another good point for referendum chart's credebility.

 

Certainly did the close aspect of transit Mars (karaka for police) to

natal Saturn and transit Venus at the beginning of the riots, play a

secondary role, too.

 

Something is still a bit disturbing me: those events are also clearly

indicated in the 1rth Republic Chart (09/22/1792 24h Paris; AS 4°

Cancer). Saturn/Sun period was running. On oct.27 transit debilitated

Sun is exactly afflicted by natal 6HL Jupiter. Transit Rahu afflicts

transit 8HL Saturn from 9H. End of riots is perhaps less obviously

indicated, but I'm not sure and need your expert advice. What is your

opinion about this chart ?

It is the close affliction of transit Rahu from the eighth house to transit Sun and natal Sun with transit Mercury being weak in the eighth house. To get the confidence in the chart it is good that you are keeping an eye on the future events. Hello Professor, Thor and list members,I come back with one question about France chart (Referendum chart). On january 24, a huge storm has devasted south-west of France. Damages are very important (3 billions euros) and eleven people died. More than 1 million people lost electricity, and today 250000 people are still waiting to get it back.I can't find anything in 1° Gemini rising chart wich could obviously explain this event. Hello Professor,Thank you for your answer. I had noticed those transits, but I though that natal Sun was strong enough (despite transit weakness) and afflictions not close enough to explain such a proeminent event.

I was wondering if Taurus rising chart couldn't be relevant, because exact Jupiter/Sun conjunction arose that fatal day, with Jupiter becoming prime significator for calamity and death, and Sun prime significator for land. I know it can be a deceptive temptation to change Ascendant in such a way, but do you think it is irrelevant ?

Hello Jolastro,

 

The natal Sun is well placed but not strong as the dispositor of the Sun is weak due to combustion. I do not think that we should consider another ascendant. An affliction from the eighth house on the planet placed in the fourth house is indicative of loss of assets through natual calamities in mundane astrology.
