Guest guest
Thank you, dear Brian... Although there may be some question about the birth certificates of both candidates, I have been using them with good results. I think it is quite possible that the certificates are authentic, which makes reading the charts quite easy using Systems' Approach. Best wishes to you, as always, my dear friend... Guest guest
Give us a break. How can you congratulate David on a successful prediction when it was made many hours into the election on the very day. Exit polls had already been posted as well as the many polls for weeks showing Obama leading the popular vote as well as the important electoral college states. My own 7 year old successfully predicted the outcome of the election as well on those terms alone. Should I then consider that a " astrological prediction " too? Anyway, there is a 50/50 chance of making the right " prediction " by that point. Now, if David had made this prediction 2 months ago I would consider that a legitimate prediction, but don't say almost halfway into an second by second news media frenzy who the winner is and consider that a fulfilled prediction. Guest guest
Hello dear Mr. Peter, Well this is a long period for seeing whether the prediction is right or wrong. But the figure of 30000 is too distant a vision. As per SAMVA USA chart, which I and most of the members of the group believe, the period of Saturn sub period would run in the main period of Venus after the current sub period of Jupiter is over. Saturn is lord of the eighth house and Venus is placed in the sixth house. The duration of this sub period is 38 months. Best wishes. - Peter P SAMVA Thursday, November 06, 2008 8:07 PM Re: Re: Barack Obama or John McCain: last thoughts Hi, Does any one have ability to predict what would OBAMA'a first term look like? Guest guest
tyring to devil's advocate here - is it possible that Obama's chart is accurate but McCain's chart is not? Can that explain why McCain lost (and not necessarily why Obama won?). The duration of this sub period is 38 months. > > Best wishes. > > > > > > - > Peter P > SAMVA > Thursday, November 06, 2008 8:07 PM > Re: Re: Barack Obama or John McCain: last thoughts > > > Hi, > > Does any one have ability to predict what would OBAMA'a first term look like? Guest guest
Dear Draupadi: Your point is well taken...and indeed, if it was the first time I had predicted this, it would have come at a late hour. However, that was not my first attempt; but rather, it was a reinforcement of earlier predictions. For example, this is what I wrote in my weekly column on October 22nd: ”Note: Assuming the birth certificates are accurate, Senators Barack Obama and John McCain are Capricorn and Aquarius rising signs, respectively. Both have transit afflictions in their charts between now and on the day of the election, so expect the unexpected. The sub period rulers, however, seem to give the edge to Senator Obama. " The problem all along has been with trying to obtain the proper birth times. Several sets of birth times have been offered throughout this campaign by both candidates and different newsgroups, so this has made the task more difficult than in cases where the birth time is verified and easily available. Either way, welcome to the SAMVA newsgroup and I hope you will join us with the study of Systems' Approach and its application in Vedic astrology. Best wishes, David Hawthorne Fairfield, Iowa USA SAMVA [sAMVA ] On Behalf Of d_bandhari Wednesday, November 05, 2008 9:14 PM SAMVA Re: Barack Obama or John McCain: last thoughts Give us a break. Guest guest
Hello Peter, The increasingly difficult economic situation became an advantage for the candidacy of the opposition party. In as much as the policies of the prior administration were the cause of the difficulties, changing them will avoid such problems in the future. At the same time, it is possible the new policies will not leade to the same kind of situation of rapid credit growth and rising asset values. As such, they may take longer to generate a moderate and more sustainable growth of incomes. The coming Venus-Saturn sub period in the SAMVA USA chart (Perpetual Union) suggests there will be no quick resolution to the difficulties in the coming three years. Guest guest
Thank you for the analysis. --- On Sat, 11/8/08, Cosmologer <cosmologer wrote: Cosmologer <cosmologerRe: Re: Barack Obama or John McCain: last thoughtsSAMVA Date: Saturday, November 8, 2008, 3:01 PM Hello Peter, The increasingly difficult economic situation became an advantage for the candidacy of the opposition party. It was when a stationary Saturn hit the MEP of the 3rd house that the railroads came under severe strain and a panic broke out. A different set of transits resulted in the big banking bust up of 2008. Economy: Panic of 1893 The 1880s had seen a period of remarkable economic expansion in the United States. In time, the expansion became driven by speculation, much like the "tech bubble" of the late 1990s, except that the preferred industry was railroads. Railroads were vastly over-built, and many companies tried to take over many others, seriously endangering their own stability to do so. In addition, many mines were opened (frequently with rail connections), and their products, especially silver, began to flood the market. One of the first signs of trouble was the bankruptcy of the Philadelphia and Reading Railroad, which had greatly over-extended itself, on February 23, 1893. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panic_of_1893 Estimates of Unemployment during the 1890s Year Lebergott Romer 1890 4.0 4.0 1891 5.4 4.8 1892 3.0 3.7 1893 11.7 8.1 1894 18.4 12.3 1895 13.7 11.1 1896 14.5 12.0 1897 14.5 12.4 1898 12.4 11.6 1899 6.5 8.7 1900 5.0 5.0 Source: Romer, 1984 Transits in 2009-2012 period Jupiter Venus Saturn Rahu Ketu 1.1.2009 4°Cp56' 3°Aq15' 27°Le47'R 15°Cp28'D 15°Cn28'D 31.1.2009 11°Cp59' 3°Pi19' 26°Le58'R 15°Cp17' 15°Cn17' 2.3.2009 18°Cp54' 21°Pi01' 24°Le56'R 14°Cp50' 14°Cn50' 1.4.2009 25°Cp06' 10°Pi41'R 22°Le38'R 12°Cp58' 12°Cn58' 1.5.2009 29°Cp55' 8°Pi19' 21°Le08'R 10°Cp04' 10°Cn04' 31.5.2009 2°Aq39' 0°Ar01' 21°Le05' 7°Cp36'D 7°Cn36'D 30.6.2009 2°Aq40'R 0°Ta13' 22°Le31' 6°Cp26' 6°Cn26' 30.7.2009 0°Aq04'R 3°Ge38' 25°Le09' 6°Cp12'D 6°Cn12'D 29.8.2009 26°Cp15'R 8°Cn46' 28°Le33' 5°Cp44'D 5°Cn44'D 28.9.2009 23°Cp33'R 15°Le06' 2°Vi16' 3°Cp56'D 3°Cn56'D 28.10.2009 23°Cp32' 22°Vi14' 5°Vi49' 0°Cp55' 0°Cn55' 27.11.2009 26°Cp21' 29°Li49' 8°Vi41' 28°Sg17' 28°Ge17' 27.12.2009 1°Aq22' 7°Sg33' 10°Vi22' 27°Sg12' 27°Ge12' 26.1.2010 7°Aq47' 15°Cp17' 10°Vi30'R 27°Sg02'D 27°Ge02'D 25.2.2010 14°Aq54' 22°Aq52' 9°Vi08'R 26°Sg12'D 26°Ge12'D 27.3.2010 22°Aq05' 0°Ar09' 6°Vi53'R 23°Sg46' 23°Ge46' 26.4.2010 28°Aq45' 6°Ta57' 4°Vi49'R 20°Sg35' 20°Ge35' 26.5.2010 4°Pi19' 13°Ge06' 3°Vi50'R 18°Sg27' 18°Ge27' 25.6.2010 8°Pi06' 18°Cn21' 4°Vi21' 17°Sg56' 17°Ge56' 25.7.2010 9°Pi23'R 22°Le02' 6°Vi16' 17°Sg58' 17°Ge58' 24.8.2010 7°Pi49'R 22°Vi36' 9°Vi12' 17°Sg00' 17°Ge00' 23.9.2010 4°Pi10'R 15°Li11' 12°Vi44' 14°Sg15' 14°Ge15' 23.10.2010 0°Pi41'R 15°Li02'R 16°Vi24' 10°Sg56' 10°Ge56' 22.11.2010 29°Aq30' 3°Li50' 19°Vi42' 9°Sg00' 9°Ge00' 22.12.2010 1°Pi19' 20°Li27' 22°Vi07' 8°Sg44'D 8°Ge44'D 21.1.2011 5°Pi40' 20°Sc08' 23°Vi11' 8°Sg33' 8°Ge33' 20.2.2011 11°Pi43' 24°Sg07' 22°Vi40'R 6°Sg48' 6°Ge48' 22.3.2011 18°Pi40' 29°Cp38' 20°Vi51'R 3°Sg35' 3°Ge35' 21.4.2011 25°Pi54' 5°Pi46' 18°Vi34'R 0°Sg45' 0°Ge45' 21.5.2011 2°Ar51' 12°Ar08' 16°Vi52'R 29°Sc33'D 29°Ta33'D 20.6.2011 8°Ar59' 18°Ta39' 16°Vi27' 29°Sc24' 29°Ta24' 20.7.2011 13°Ar39' 25°Ge22' 17°Vi31' 28°Sc54' 28°Ta54' 19.8.2011 16°Ar07' 2°Le21' 19°Vi51' 26°Sc59' 26°Ta59' 18.9.2011 15°Ar45'R 9°Vi34' 23°Vi03' 23°Sc57' 23°Ta57' 18.10.2011 12°Ar44'R 16°Li51' 26°Vi39' 21°Sc23'D 21°Ta23'D 17.11.2011 8°Ar48'R 24°Sc09' 0°Li12' 20°Sc21'D 20°Ta21'D 17.12.2011 6°Ar28'R 1°Cp19' 3°Li09' 20°Sc11' 20°Ta11' 16.1.2012 7°Ar05' 8°Aq06' 5°Li02' 19°Sc26' 19°Ta26' 15.2.2012 10°Ar30' 13°Pi52' 5°Li25'R 17°Sc10'D 17°Ta10'D 16.3.2012 15°Ar53' 17°Ar23' 4°Li19'R 14°Sc08' 14°Ta08' 15.4.2012 22°Ar26' 15°Ta45' 2°Li12'R 11°Sc53' 11°Ta53' 15.5.2012 29°Ar29' 29°Ta57' 0°Li03'R 11°Sc06' 11°Ta06' 14.6.2012 6°Ta29' 17°Ta02'R 28°Vi50'R 10°Sc58'D 10°Ta58'D 14.7.2012 12°Ta54' 18°Ta00' 29°Vi01' 10°Sc08'D 10°Ta08'D 13.8.2012 18°Ta09' 10°Ge56' 0°Li36' 7°Sc50' 7°Ta50' 12.9.2012 21°Ta31' 11°Cn50' 3°Li18' 4°Sc47' 4°Ta47' 12.10.2012 22°Ta15'R 16°Le10' 6°Li41' 2°Sc39' 2°Ta39' 11.11.2012 20°Ta05'R 22°Vi21' 10°Li17' 2°Sc02' 2°Ta02' 11.12.2012 16°Ta11'R 29°Li28' 13°Li37' 1°Sc56'D 1°Ta56'D 10.1.2013 12°Ta59'R 6°Sg59' 16°Li08' 0°Sc39' 0°Ta39' 9.2.2013 12°Ta26' 14°Cp34' 17°Li24' 27°Li37' 27°Ar37' 11.3.2013 14°Ta47' 22°Aq04' 17°Li08'R 24°Li26' 24°Ar26' Footnotes [1] "Noted in historical accounts as the Ghost Dance of 1890, the Ghost Dance was a religious movement incorporated into numerous Native American belief systems. The traditional ritual used in the Ghost Dance, the circle dance, has been used by many Native Americans since prehistoric times, but was first performed in accordance with Jack Wilson's teachings among the Nevada Paiute in 1889. The practice swept throughout much of the American West, quickly reaching areas of California and Oklahoma. As the Ghost Dance spread from its original source, Native American tribes synthesized selective aspects of the ritual with their own beliefs, often creating change in both the society that integrated it and the ritual itself. At the core of the movement was the prophet of peace Jack Wilson, known as Wovoka among the Paiute, who prophesied a peaceful end to white American expansion while preaching messages of clean living, an honest life, and cross-cultural cooperation. Perhaps the best known facet of the Ghost Dance movement is the role it reportedly played in instigating the Wounded Knee massacre in 1890, which resulted in the deaths of at least 153 Lakota Sioux. The Sioux variation on the Ghost Dance tended towards millenarianism, an innovation which distinguished the Sioux interpretation from Jack Wilson's original teachings." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghost_Dance Cosmologer <cosmologerSAMVA Sent: Monday, November 10, 2008 4:07:47 PMRe: Re: Barack Obama or John McCain: last thoughts Hello Peter, In a message on SAMVA on November 6, 2008, made the following statement: "As per SAMVA USA chart, which I and most of the members of the group believe, the period of Saturn sub period would run in the main period of Venus after the current sub period of Jupiter is over. It was when a stationary Saturn hit the MEP of the 3rd house that the railroads came under severe strain and a panic broke out. A different set of transits resulted in the big banking bust up of 2008. Economy: Panic of 1893 The 1880s had seen a period of remarkable economic expansion in the United States . In time, the expansion became driven by speculation, much like the "tech bubble" of the late 1990s, except that the preferred industry was railroads. Railroads were vastly over-built, and many companies tried to take over many others, seriously endangering their own stability to do so. In addition, many mines were opened (frequently with rail connections), and their products, especially silver, began to flood the market. One of the first signs of trouble was the bankruptcy of the Philadelphia and Reading Railroad, which had greatly over-extended itself, on February 23, 1893. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panic_of_1893 Estimates of Unemployment during the 1890s Year Lebergott Romer 1890 4.0 4.0 1891 5.4 4.8 1892 3.0 3.7 1893 11.7 8.1 1894 18.4 12.3 1895 13.7 11.1 1896 14.5 12.0 1897 14.5 12.4 1898 12.4 11.6 1899 6.5 8.7 1900 5.0 5.0 Source: Romer, 1984 Transits in 2009-2012 period Jupiter Venus Saturn Rahu Ketu 1.1.2009 4°Cp56' 3°Aq15' 27°Le47'R 15°Cp28'D 15°Cn28'D 31.1.2009 11°Cp59' 3°Pi19' 26°Le58'R 15°Cp17' 15°Cn17' 2.3.2009 18°Cp54' 21°Pi01' 24°Le56'R 14°Cp50' 14°Cn50' 1.4.2009 25°Cp06' 10°Pi41'R 22°Le38'R 12°Cp58' 12°Cn58' 1.5.2009 29°Cp55' 8°Pi19' 21°Le08'R 10°Cp04' 10°Cn04' 31.5.2009 2°Aq39' 0°Ar01' 21°Le05' 7°Cp36'D 7°Cn36'D 30.6.2009 2°Aq40'R 0°Ta13' 22°Le31' 6°Cp26' 6°Cn26' 30.7.2009 0°Aq04'R 3°Ge38' 25°Le09' 6°Cp12'D 6°Cn12'D 29.8.2009 26°Cp15'R 8°Cn46' 28°Le33' 5°Cp44'D 5°Cn44'D 28.9.2009 23°Cp33'R 15°Le06' 2°Vi16' 3°Cp56'D 3°Cn56'D 28.10.2009 23°Cp32' 22°Vi14' 5°Vi49' 0°Cp55' 0°Cn55' 27.11.2009 26°Cp21' 29°Li49' 8°Vi41' 28°Sg17' 28°Ge17' 27.12.2009 1°Aq22' 7°Sg33' 10°Vi22' 27°Sg12' 27°Ge12' 26.1.2010 7°Aq47' 15°Cp17' 10°Vi30'R 27°Sg02'D 27°Ge02'D 25.2.2010 14°Aq54' 22°Aq52' 9°Vi08'R 26°Sg12'D 26°Ge12'D 27.3.2010 22°Aq05' 0°Ar09' 6°Vi53'R 23°Sg46' 23°Ge46' 26.4.2010 28°Aq45' 6°Ta57' 4°Vi49'R 20°Sg35' 20°Ge35' 26.5.2010 4°Pi19' 13°Ge06' 3°Vi50'R 18°Sg27' 18°Ge27' 25.6.2010 8°Pi06' 18°Cn21' 4°Vi21' 17°Sg56' 17°Ge56' 25.7.2010 9°Pi23'R 22°Le02' 6°Vi16' 17°Sg58' 17°Ge58' 24.8.2010 7°Pi49'R 22°Vi36' 9°Vi12' 17°Sg00' 17°Ge00' 23.9.2010 4°Pi10'R 15°Li11' 12°Vi44' 14°Sg15' 14°Ge15' 23.10.2010 0°Pi41'R 15°Li02'R 16°Vi24' 10°Sg56' 10°Ge56' 22.11.2010 29°Aq30' 3°Li50' 19°Vi42' 9°Sg00' 9°Ge00' 22.12.2010 1°Pi19' 20°Li27' 22°Vi07' 8°Sg44'D 8°Ge44'D 21.1.2011 5°Pi40' 20°Sc08' 23°Vi11' 8°Sg33' 8°Ge33' 20.2.2011 11°Pi43' 24°Sg07' 22°Vi40'R 6°Sg48' 6°Ge48' 22.3.2011 18°Pi40' 29°Cp38' 20°Vi51'R 3°Sg35' 3°Ge35' 21.4.2011 25°Pi54' 5°Pi46' 18°Vi34'R 0°Sg45' 0°Ge45' 21.5.2011 2°Ar51' 12°Ar08' 16°Vi52'R 29°Sc33'D 29°Ta33'D 20.6.2011 8°Ar59' 18°Ta39' 16°Vi27' 29°Sc24' 29°Ta24' 20.7.2011 13°Ar39' 25°Ge22' 17°Vi31' 28°Sc54' 28°Ta54' 19.8.2011 16°Ar07' 2°Le21' 19°Vi51' 26°Sc59' 26°Ta59' 18.9.2011 15°Ar45'R 9°Vi34' 23°Vi03' 23°Sc57' 23°Ta57' 18.10.2011 12°Ar44'R 16°Li51' 26°Vi39' 21°Sc23'D 21°Ta23'D 17.11.2011 8°Ar48'R 24°Sc09' 0°Li12' 20°Sc21'D 20°Ta21'D 17.12.2011 6°Ar28'R 1°Cp19' 3°Li09' 20°Sc11' 20°Ta11' 16.1.2012 7°Ar05' 8°Aq06' 5°Li02' 19°Sc26' 19°Ta26' 15.2.2012 10°Ar30' 13°Pi52' 5°Li25'R 17°Sc10'D 17°Ta10'D 16.3.2012 15°Ar53' 17°Ar23' 4°Li19'R 14°Sc08' 14°Ta08' 15.4.2012 22°Ar26' 15°Ta45' 2°Li12'R 11°Sc53' 11°Ta53' 15.5.2012 29°Ar29' 29°Ta57' 0°Li03'R 11°Sc06' 11°Ta06' 14.6.2012 6°Ta29' 17°Ta02'R 28°Vi50'R 10°Sc58'D 10°Ta58'D 14.7.2012 12°Ta54' 18°Ta00' 29°Vi01' 10°Sc08'D 10°Ta08'D 13.8.2012 18°Ta09' 10°Ge56' 0°Li36' 7°Sc50' 7°Ta50' 12.9.2012 21°Ta31' 11°Cn50' 3°Li18' 4°Sc47' 4°Ta47' 12.10.2012 22°Ta15'R 16°Le10' 6°Li41' 2°Sc39' 2°Ta39' 11.11.2012 20°Ta05'R 22°Vi21' 10°Li17' 2°Sc02' 2°Ta02' 11.12.2012 16°Ta11'R 29°Li28' 13°Li37' 1°Sc56'D 1°Ta56'D 10.1.2013 12°Ta59'R 6°Sg59' 16°Li08' 0°Sc39' 0°Ta39' 9.2.2013 12°Ta26' 14°Cp34' 17°Li24' 27°Li37' 27°Ar37' 11.3.2013 14°Ta47' 22°Aq04' 17°Li08'R 24°Li26' 24°Ar26' Footnotes [1] "Noted in historical accounts as the Ghost Dance of 1890, the Ghost Dance was a religious movement incorporated into numerous Native American belief systems. The traditional ritual used in the Ghost Dance, the circle dance, has been used by many Native Americans since prehistoric times, but was first performed in accordance with Jack Wilson's teachings among the Nevada Paiute in 1889. The practice swept throughout much of the American West, quickly reaching areas of California and Oklahoma .
