SAMVA USA chart: Rodney King beatings in 1991 and LA riots in 1992

The videotaped beating of African-American Rodney King by the LA Police Department in 1991 sparked national outrage when aired on national TV. A year later, in April of 1992, a race riot broke out when the officers involved were acquitted. King was pulled over following a high-speed pursuit.

Ketu-Sun period was operating with an opposition aspect involving transit 8th lord Saturn in Capricorn/H7 and transit 6th lord Jupiter in Cancer/H1. This aspect suggests possibility of violence in the Cancer ascendant when these planets are afflicting natally. Note also the conjunction of transit 8th lord Saturn with natal 3rd lord Mercury, which rules death-like experiences and transportation, respectively.

Ketu-Rahu period was operating with transit 8th lord Saturn in Capricorn/H7 exactly conjunct natal 2nd lord Sun, representing the civil authority. Transit Rahu in Sagittarius/H6 was aspecting transit 6th lord Jupiter in Capricorn/H7, suggesting a crisis involving a violent communal outburst. Transit 2nd lord Sun was exactly conjunct natal Rahu in Aries/H10.
