Guest guest
Alan Scherr,58, and his 13-year-old daughter were among six Americans killed in Mumbai. He was a Vedic astrologer, meditation teacher and had lived alongside a dozen monks and 35 others at the Synchronicity Foundation 450-acre complex in the Blue Ridge Mountains for the past 13 years. " Alan and his wife Kia have been integral members of the Synchronicity community for more than a decade since moving to Faber with their young daughter Naomi, " an announcement on the group's Web site said. Ms. Scherr and her two sons had remained in the U.S. For much of his adult life, Mr. Scherr taught meditation and helped to produce the group's literature. Before moving to Virginia in 1996, Mr. Scherr was an art professor at the University of Maryland and at Loyola College in Maryland. http://www.careerjournal.com/article/SB122792148884565837.html
