Attached are three charts (in jpg file format) for a tentative Taurus rising chart for the new Pakistan, set for the day the old state effectively split up into West and East Pakistan (modern Pakistan and Bangladesh.

This chart shows Jupiter as 8th lord on the most effective point of the 7th house, suggesting obstacles but also easy gains in foreign relations. This placement would be consistent with Pakistan holding nuclear weapons and being seen as a a threat. This is more so as 6th lord Venus is on the MEP of the 8th house, with obstacles surrounding contentious issues but also as 6th lord then afflicts the 2nd house - signifying conflictual tension with neighboring countries. Indeed, Pakistan has been after India over Kashmir region for many decades. The Venus major period began in May 1997, when such tensions should have become more prominent. Indeed, the third conflict with India broke out in 1999. During the Jupiter sub-period from July 2007 there has been civil unrest and tension in the country. In the second half of 2007, the tension became extreme over Musharrafs decision to fire judges ruling against his

authority. When the tension peaked in November 2007 transit Jupiter happened to be exactly conjunct its natal placement. When Musharraf stepped down, transit stationary Ketu was closely afflicting the natal Jupiter. When the Mumbai attacks took place, transit Jupiter was conjunct natal Venus. For what it is worth, such a chart seems to give an instantly better fit to the natal potential and events than the Aries rising chart for midnight on August 14, 1948.

However, it is clear that Pakistani astrologers are of two minds on this issue, as reflected in the file being uploaded by a Pakistani astrologer on SAMVA list in November 2003. This is the file I pointed out in my post of yesterday.

ARIES RISING CHART FOR AUGUST 14, 1948

More importantly, on SAMVA we are always seeking the time that reflects the true birth of a country, both historically and astrologically. Such a time should yield a chart that not only explains the natal potential of a country but also the significant events in the history, and serve as a basis of accurate predictions. So far, there is not a consensus in this regard concerning Pakistan, especially the natal potential. It indicates better domestic conditions and a greater international role for the country than the history actually reveals. It is important that the chart match the country. Sometimes, official information may overlook an event that is decisive in this regard. While it is hard for a non-native to speculate on this, our research here on SAMVA suggests that often the popular consensus and even the official information can overlook

important details in timing such events.

That said, last year I made a prediction based on the 23° Aries rising chart, that "the situation in the country as a whole should improve considerably after the start of the Venus-Venus period on 31 December 2007." As far as I can tell this has been the case, at least in comparison to the turmoil in end 2007. That said, there have been notable problems in 2008 including the tension leading up to the removal from office of Perveze Musharraf in early August 2008. Incidentally, based on his accurate birth chart, an accurate prediction was made for him (Prediction realised, Monday, August 18, 2008). Even then, Pakistan has intermittently been in hot water for serving as a base for terrorist activities. The US has launched aereal attacks killing terrorists and innocent people, causing

consternation in the country. Most recently, the Mumbai attacks, which were the work of terrorists trained and living in Pakistan, has led to renewed border tension with India and this not easily seen in the Aries rising chart. http://en.wikipedia .org/wiki/ 26_November_ 2008_Mumbai_ attacks In late November 2008, the aspect of Jupiter to Saturn was exact and it is likely that Jupiter is a functional malefic planet in the authentic chart for Pakistan, i.e. a Taurus, Cancer or Capricorn ascendant.

PAKISTANT SPLIT INTO EAST AND WEST IN 1971

In this regard, we can note that the original state of Pakistan was split up in 1971 following the Bangladesh Liberation war.

The Bangladesh declaration of indpendence was read on March 25, 1971 and (West) Pakistant then lost the war by surrendering on December 16, 1971. "Reaction to the defeat and dismemberment of half the nation was a shocking loss to top military and civilians alike. No one had expected that they would lose the formal war in under a fortnight and were also very angry at what they perceived as a meek surrender of the army in East Pakistan. I thinkwe have to belive what is writen by Pakistan Govt. not what Mr. Micholas Campion writen in his book. there are some more error in his book and not advicable to use blindly this book.

one more book name: Astrology and the causes of War by Jamie Macphail also use 15th for Pakistan and give anlysis on page no 283, which also totaly worng due to taking worng date of pakistan independence.

While we have an authentic chart for India, there is uncertainty about the real birth time of Pakistan. Some suggest it took place at midnight on August 14, 1948 in Karachi, while others suggest it took place at midnight on August 15th. The latter time is mentioned in Campion's book:
