Attached please find a jpg file which shows the aspects of the functional malefic planets in the chart, 8th lord Saturn, 6th lord Jupiter, FM Rahu and FM Ketu. The image shows affliction zones where a transiting planet becomes afflicted by the natal FM involved. At the same time, we should carefully note where there are also natal afflictions involved, as then the affliction zone becomes more charged. In the SAMVA USA chart, the following natal afflictions are felt in the national life: - Saturn afflicts natal 2nd lord Sun (obstacles/endings for wealth, status and leader) - Jupiter afflicts natal 1st lord Moon (combative attitude, religious tendency) - Ketu afflicts houses 4, 8, 10 and 12 (sudden setbacks to communal harmony, deaths, setbacks for government and losses from abroad) - Rahu afflicts houses 10, 2, 4 and 6 (manipulation in administration, trade, wealth, status, relations with neighbors, communal harmony, financial stability, conflict and health) I also attach a chart of the time, December 8, 1941, when the USA declared war against Japan. Jupiter major period was operating. As 6th lord, Jupiter rules war. The Saturn sub-period was operating. As 8th lord, Saturn rules obstacles and endings. This was a period of a great conflict and major destruction. At the time when the USA declared War on Japan, 6th lord Jupiter at 23° Taurus was afflicting both natal 2nd lord Sun and transit Sun. At the time, natal Saturn afflicted both transit Sun and Jupiter as well as transit Rahu. Jupiter had just turned retrograde from its placement in exact opposition to natal 8th lord Saturn. Transit Rahu in turn afflicted natal 4th lord Venus in the 6th house. It too had just left 28° Leo where it was transit stationary under the exact affliction of Saturn, the sub-period lord. Finally, transit Saturn afflicted natal Jupiter and was about to enter stationary placement exactly opposite Jupiter. Three days later when transit Sun was exactly conjunct natal Saturn, the USA also declared war agains Germany and Italy. It is rare to see such massive afflictions during dual malefic periods that involve transits of planets in afflictions zones. All of it bespeaks of both the nature and timing of this historic event!
