As 7th lord Moon is at 15° 57' Cancer, its own sign, and the 7th house in the Rasi chart (D-1). It is weakened by being debilitated in the Navamsa chart (D-9). However, there is a conjunction of 2nd lord Saturn 23° 17' to the MEP of the 7th house (orb of 2° 21'). To this we can add that the transit stationary Ketu is at 15° 17' Cancer and is thus 0° 40' orb from Moon. Do you find the strain and setbacks described as fitting this chart? "As can clearly be seen, there has been a sharp increase of strain in the area of foreign policy for Israel. Importantly, it seems that Israel has also suffered a setback in its foreign policy in terms of likely changes in international relaions, notably involving the USA which may take a more balanced approach to participants in the conflict. We have discussed later years as the potential basis for the authentic chart, including the separation from West Pakistan. As for any chart, we would need to consider the plausibility of the historical basis for it, the rising sign, how well it describe the natal potential and how signficant events in the history of the country are explained by the period and transit influences in the chart under study. In message #16536 M. Imran gives a good overview of the times proposed for the country and time zone issues. To my knowledge, the time selected by you, 9:30am giving 7° Virgo rising (I have also heard that 8:53am giving Leo rising is possible) has not received much attention as of yet on SAMVA list, but perhaps it could be explained a bit further in terms of a) natal potential b) significant past events c) predictions of the future events Your effort in this regard is welcomed. At the same time, we should also keep in mind that our venerated finds a 1° 50' Taurus rising chart having good possibility for Pakistan based on the astrological merit. Many SA astrologers do not find a late Aries rising chart to be in line with the reality of the country. See for instance message #16537. The Taurus rising chart is based on the midnight time for August 14, 1947. However, and more importantly, it is also based on the time zone as having been 5.00 hrs - as opposed to the registered time zone of 5.30 hrs, which was used while the area of modern day Pakistan was part of India. This would be attributed to the 5.30 time zone having been officially registered after the fact, but erroneously, as the 5.00 time zone would have been actually observed. As Pakistan is west of India, which uses 5.30 time zone, it makes sense for Pakistan to use a time zone reflecting the sunlight conditions. We could also note that the official records suggest that Pakistan used the 4.30 hrs time zone from 1951 and a 5.00 hrs time zone from 1954. Nevertheless, this idea is controversial. Ajay Seghal has investigated some significant events in terms of the Taurus rising chart for Pakistan, also in view of the Taurus rising chart for India, in message #16527. I have also been exploring later dates, such as the seperation of East and West Pakistan in 1971, as a possible basis for the authentic chart. So, there is some scope for further investigations. In particular, perhaps the morning charts on August 14th warrant more investigation.
