USA: Afghan Surge

The US military forces are being increased and military action is increasing in Afghanistan just as transit 10th lord MARS (military) is conjunct transit JUPITER 6th lord of conflict and transit stationary FM RAHU in Capricorn and the 7th house of foreign affairs in SAMVA USA chart. For those who have follow the SAMVA USA chart, this is no coincidence.

LOGAR PROVINCE, Afghanistan – Close to 3,000 American soldiers who recently arrived in Afghanistan to secure two violent provinces near Kabul have begun operations in the field and already are seeing combat, the unit's spokesman said Monday......Several roadside bombs also have exploded next to the unit's MRAPs — mine-resistance patrol vehicles — but caused no casualties, he said. "In every case our vehicles returned with overwhelming fire," Ostehozer said. "We have not suffered anything more than a few bruises, while several insurgents have been killed." Commanders are in the planning stages of larger scale operations expected to be

launched in the coming weeks.

The skirmishes, which have not resulted in casualties for US troops, are also occuring when

- transit 8th lord Saturn in Leo and 2nd house is moving out of aspect by natal Saturn in Scorpio and 5th house

- transit stationary FM KETU in Cancer and 1st house is afflicting transit 4th lord VENUS in Pisces and 9th house.

 

LOOKING FORWARD

Venus-Saturn period begins today (February 17, 2009) and transit Saturn, as 8th lord (of obstacles and endings but also easy gains) in retrograde motion will enter the MEP of the 2nd house (wealth, status and relations with close neighbors) on March 1, 2009, at 25° Leo. From there Saturn aspects also 4th house (natural resources, fixed assets and communal harmony), the 8th house (easy gains, buraucracy and obstacles and endings) and 11th house (income, goals and friends). In coming months we should primarily be focused on that period-transit combination when contemplating the transit-period influences in the SAMVA USA chart on the state of affairs in the USA. Likely, there will be strain on these indications, especially in May, when transit Saturn becomes stationary at 20° 55' Leo.
