Transit 6th lord Jupiter conjunct natal 2nd lord Sun in 2009

Dear friends,

 

Transit 6th lord Jupiter is currently in the sign Capricorn, where it is debilitated and hence weak. In 2009, transit Jupiter will become conjunct natal Sun at 23° 44' Capricorn and 7th house of the SAMVA USA chart three times in 2009. At such times, there may be controversy, conflict or financial stability issues (6th house indications) surrounding the areas ruled by the Sun (leader and highly placed politicians) and 2nd lord (wealth, status and relations with neighboring countries). As the conjunction takes place in the 7th house of foreign affairs, it is likely that it will also bring strains or challenges to US foreign policy. has suggested this conjunction could lead to US funds being cut-off from foreign governments not doing their part in countering organisations that promote terrorism.

 

Today, transit Jupiter enters the 5° orb of its conjunction with the Sun. Of course, due to the strength of Sun in the chart, the conjunction will not produce a significant strain until Jupiter is within 1° orb of the Sun on March 20th. The first conjunction becomes exact on March 24, 2009 when Jupiter is moving at normal speed. Transit Jupiter exits the 1° orb on March 30th. So, for ten days in late March we may get a preview of the influences that will possibly occupy the US half a year from now.

 

The second conjunction of transit 6th lord Jupiter to natal 2nd lord Sun enters the 1° orb on September 2, when Jupiter is in retrograde motion. The aspect becomes exact on September 24, 2009. Jupiter then goes direct on October 14 at 23° 10' Capricorn and again becomes conjunct the Sun on October 31, 2009 before passing out of the close orb on November 13, when Jupiter is again moving at normal speed.

 

In short, there is a ten day period where we will get a hint of this aspect in the final third of March and a more prolongued period when Jupiter goes stationary conjunct the Sun from early September through mid November, 2009. The conjunction should be felt with much greater intensity at that time. Even if Jupiter is only 6th lord, it can still create quite a stir, especially as it natally afflicts the Moon in the chart as 1st lord of the self - which explains the tenacity of the US in face of opposition.

Given the deteriorating economic and budget situation, strains appear to be emerging concerning the American capacity or appetite for international conflict.

 

Pentagon Rethinking Old Doctrine on 2 Wars

Washington — The protracted wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are forcing the Obama administration to rethink what for more than two decades has been a central premise of American strategy: that the nation need only prepare to fight two major wars at a time. Just as predicted, during March 2009, the US government has been faced with increasing strain with regard to military and financial matters. Many such incidents have been documented in separate posts here on SAMVA list as they have appeared in the media. We have paid special attention to the prediction by from last year, based on the transit conjunction of 6th lord Jupiter with natal 2nd lord Sun in the SAMVA USA chart, which has occurred fleetingly in March 2009 but will become stationary exactly on the natal Sun from September to November 2009. As I noted earlier this month, we could at this time get a glimpse of what to expect later this year. Well, as the following news story reveals, the US government appears to be concerned about the behaviour of the Pakistani government, which seems to be offering support to the Taliban, which may be a supporter of the

Dear friends,

 

Transit 6th lord Jupiter is currently in the sign Capricorn, where it is debilitated and hence weak. In 2009, transit Jupiter will become conjunct natal Sun at 23° 44' Capricorn and 7th house of the SAMVA USA chart three times in 2009. At such times, there may be controversy, conflict or financial stability issues (6th house indications) surrounding the areas ruled by the Sun (leader and highly placed politicians) and 2nd lord (wealth, status and relations with neighboring countries). As the conjunction takes place in the 7th house of foreign affairs, it is likely that it will also bring strains or challenges to US foreign policy. has suggested this conjunction could lead to US funds being cut-off from foreign governments not doing their part in countering organisations that promote terrorism.

 

Today, transit Jupiter enters the 5° orb of its conjunction with the Sun. Of course, due to the strength of Sun in the chart, the conjunction will not produce a significant strain until Jupiter is within 1° orb of the Sun on March 20th. The first conjunction becomes exact on March 24, 2009 when Jupiter is moving at normal speed. Transit Jupiter exits the 1° orb on March 30th. So, for ten days in late March we may get a preview of the influences that will possibly occupy the US half a year from now.

 

The second conjunction of transit 6th lord Jupiter to natal 2nd lord Sun enters the 1° orb on September 2, when Jupiter is in retrograde motion. The aspect becomes exact on September 24, 2009. Jupiter then goes direct on October 14 at 23° 10' Capricorn and again becomes conjunct the Sun on October 31, 2009 before passing out of the close orb on November 13, when Jupiter is again moving at normal speed.

 

In short, there is a ten day period where we will get a hint of this aspect in the final third of March and a more prolongued period when Jupiter goes stationary conjunct the Sun from early September through mid November, 2009. The conjunction should be felt with much greater intensity at that time. Even if Jupiter is only 6th lord, it can still create quite a stir, especially as it natally afflicts the Moon in the chart as 1st lord of the self - which explains the tenacity of the US in face of opposition.
