Eight dead in Carthage nursing-home shooting Posted: Today at 11:41 a.m. Carthage, N.C. — A gunman walked into a Moore County nursing home Sunday morning, fatally shooting eight people and injuring others, including a police officer, Carthage Police Chief Chris McKenzie said.
