If it raises the alert level to 6 (the highest level), it would confirm that a full blown pandemic has developed. As noted in my message on April 25, the swin flu emerged as an international concern when Venus and Mars were exactly conjunct. They are now separating and will exit 5° orb on May 4. However, they have also moved into the aspect of transit Ketu and this is likely stoking the concerns. While transit Mars has passed the exact aspect of Ketu, transit Venus will only do so on May 4th. What do you think will happen with this illness. Will it spread and become a threatening pandemic or will it continue to subside as the conjunction separates and the planets move out of the aspect of Ketu?

As noted in my message on April 25, the swin flu emerged as an international concern when Venus and Mars were exactly conjunct. They are now separating and will exit 5° orb on May 4. However, they have also moved into the aspect of transit Ketu and this is likely stoking the concerns. While transit Mars has passed the exact aspect of Ketu, transit Venus will only do so on May 4th. What do you think will happen with this illness. There are reports the Mexican authorities are reacting aggressively to contain the flu outbreak. At the same time, it is being reported the flu virus that has been discovered in a number of countries is a fairly mild strain, which comes as a relief.

If it raises the alert level to 6 (the highest level), it would confirm that a full blown pandemic has developed. Moreover, it is being reported that the UN Secretary General, Ban Ki Moon, has announced that the Pandemic Alert, now at level 5, will not be raised to the top level 6, which would indicate that a Pandemic has broken out. The UN thus believes this outbreak has peaked prior to reaching pandemic levels.

The swine flue will not spread and become a pandemic. It will subside as the conjunctions separate and the planets move out of the aspect of Ketu/Rahu in about 10 days time.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has now issued a warning that a serious flu pandemic is likely imminent. If it raises the alert level to 6 (the highest level), it would confirm that a full blown pandemic has developed. It is not at that stage yet, but the WHO is telling governments to implement their pandemic measures without delay.

As noted in my message on April 25, the swin flu emerged as an international concern when Venus and Mars were exactly conjunct. They are now separating and will exit 5° orb on May 4. However, they have also moved into the aspect of transit Ketu and this is likely stoking the concerns. While transit Mars has passed the exact aspect of Ketu, transit Venus will only do so on May 4th. What do you think will happen with this illness. Will it spread and become a threatening pandemic or will it continue to subside as the conjunction separates and the planets move out of the aspect of Ketu?

Dear friends,

 

Venus and Mars are traveling in proxmity in the second half of April, in June and into early July. They pass out of the effective 5° orb from each other from May 4 to June 2.

 

During this time, they become conjunct twice:

 

April 22, 2009 at 5° 30' Pisces

June 22, 2009 at 21° 35' Taurus

 

Depending on their functional nature this conjunction is benign or adverse.

 

Venus is a functional malefic planet for Pisces (8L), Scorpio (12L) and Taurus (6L).

Mars is a functional malefic planet for Virgo (8L), Taurus (12L) and Scorpio (6L).

 

Accordingly, this conjunction is more difficult for Taurus and Scorpio born with 5-6° rising or planets placed there in Pisces or Virgo during April and with 21-22° rising during June or planets placed there in Taurus or Scorpio. Fortunately, the aspect is moving forward at normal speed and thus the influence is not so long lasting.

 

Mars and Venus are functional benefic planets for all other ascendants and the influence should thus be good, unless conjunct or aspected by natal or transit FMs.
