Hello Thor:

Thanks for this. In reading your blog, I found some agreement with my

sense of what is coming - and when. As I see it, the Total Solar

Eclipse of July 22nd is significant for Iran . . . and, the transit of

Mars on August 24th (possibly at 12:36 AM) provides an important

trigger for the kind of event you have called out (below).

How does SAMVA view this kind of eclipse activation, please?

Warmly, John

During the summer and early

autumn of 2009, transit Ketu will be stationary at 6° 11' Cancer, where

it is closely conjunct natal 6th lord Jupiter at 5° 30' Cancer and 1st

house. At that time, a sudden violent event would be likely.

Normally we look at the transits of stationary planets

when examining major significant events in the life of countries. As a

result we often times miss seeing the impact of faster moving planets

in transits in terms of the mundane horoscopes. Sometimes these

transits show up in remarkable ways in the authentic horoscopes of

national entities. Below we examine two very different examples.

Hi John,

You are welcome.

In the article THE TRUTH ABOUT ECLIPSES (Monday, August 4, 2008)

http://cosmologer.blogspot.com/2008/08/truth-about-eclipses.htmlI wrote about how they may be viewed in SA. The key is the influence of the stationary lunar nodes. Rahu brings crises and Ketu rules sudden and violent events. The crossing of the transit Sun (or Moon) over the nodal axis shortly after a solar (lunar) eclipse increases the likelihood of some event, but of course we should also be mindful to gauge the natal vulnerability and period influences.

In my mind, the chart for Iran is still tentative (albeit highly plausible) but further accurate predictions based on it will surely raise the confidence in it.

Best wishes,

Thor
