USA and Israel consult over Iran threat

In a few days, transit Jupiter will move in retrograde motion into Capricorn where it will go stationary in the autumn months around 24°. We have earlier discussed that this placement is sensitive for both the USA and Israel. In the case of both USA and Israel it is the 2nd lord in the 7th house MEP that is afflicted. This suggests a similar experience for the two countries, albeit, the nodal affliction involves the Sun for the USA and Saturn for Israel. Hence, the nature of the problems could find a different expression as per the general indications of these planets.

Interestingly, there are now consultations going on at the highest level between the USA and Israel concerning the nuclear threat emerging from Iran. Only a few days ago, US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, came out saying that the US would not accept Iran obtaining nuclear weapons.

JERUSALEM (CNN) -- President Obama's offer to engage with Iran is not "open-ended," and he is "anticipating or hoping for" a response within the next two months, U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates said Monday.

Standing alongside his Israeli counterpart, Ehud Barak, Gates emphasized U.S. concern about "what appears to be [iran's] intent to develop nuclear weapons."

"I think we're in full agreement of the negative consequences of Iran obtaining this kind of a capability," Gates said. "I think we are also agreed that it is important to take every opportunity to try and persuade the Iranians to reconsider what is actually in their own security interest."

To this we can add that transit stationary Ketu at 6° Cancer/H1 is aspecting both natal 6th lord Jupiter at 4° 25' Scorpio/H5 and 10th lord Mars at 10° 05' Scorpio/H5. This is consistent with the sudden surge in violence in both Afghanistan and Iraq since the nodal station began some weeks ago. Moreover, transit stationary Rahu at 6° Capricorn/H7 has been aspecting natal 1st lord Moon at 7° 19' Taurus/H11, signifying some problems for the USA.
