KABUL (Reuters) - A U.S. service member was killed as the deadliest month for foreign troops in the Afghanistan war drew to a close, the U.S. military said on Friday, with commanders vowing to continue the fight despite the toll. The death in southern Afghanistan brought to 40 the number of U.S. troops killed in July, by far the heaviest monthly toll in the 8-year-old war. US general may ask for more troops for Afghan war

WASHINGTON – The U.S. general put in charge of turning around the war in Afghanistan is likely to recommend significant changes in the campaign and may include a request for more U.S. forces that the White House is expected to resist. Gen. Stanley McChrystal's long-awaited reassessment of the war against Taliban insurgents aims for a transformation of the shaky relationship between U.S. forces and Afghan civilians as troops press a counterinsurgency strategy of clearing and holding populated areas, said officials apprised of the report's contents.

In the article Predictions for the USA in 2009 (Wednesday, December 31, 2008) the following was predicted:

Jupiter as 6th lord rules over conflict. The death toll for the US military was the highest in July 2009 since last year when Jupiter transited the 8th house of death. The Taliban militants are closely linked to Al-Queda, the terrorist organisation.

The above predictions for the USA made at the end of last year based on the SAMVA USA chart have therefore been realised.
