Guest guest
Hello list members, I have been examining the free Stellarium software and can recommend it for those interested to expand their knowledge of the actual sky above. "Stellarium is a free open source planetarium for your computer. It shows a realistic sky in 3D, just like what you see with the naked eye, binoculars or a telescope. It is being used in planetarium projectors. Just set your coordinates and go." http://www.stellarium.org/ With this software you can see the planets in the sky in relation to the known constellations. It is interesting for vedic astrologer, using the sidereal zodiac, to see that the Mercury and Saturn are indeed in the constellation of Leo, Sun in Cancer, Venus is in Gemini and Mars in Taurus, etc. just as they are presently in the vedic horoscope. Guest guest
Hi Mew, Good to know. You're welcome. Thor SAMVA , " Mary Ellen Wright " <wdmewright wrote: > > This Stellarium software is totally cool Thor ... now I can enjoy viewing the night skies without having to deal with the city lights, a bunch of trees blocking my view (although I love trees), inclement Minnesota weather or police asking me what I'm doing wandering about in the PM (poor Bob Dylan!)... thanks for bringing it to our attention!
