Thanks for the very interesting analysis of this Capricorn rising chart (attached in jpg file).

 

South Carolina is an interesting state. It is perhaps one of the most traditionally southern states. It was the first to secede from the Union and it was severely punished by Sherman's Army, which after the famous "March to the Sea" where the Georgian cities of Atlanta and Savannah were practically laid to waste. Sherman's army then marched north, through South Carolina "in early 1865, destroying numerous plantations, and captured the state capital of Columbia on February 17. Fires began that night and by next morning, most of the central city was destroyed."*

 

I know from experience that rectifying an authentic mundane horoscope takes a lot of time and effort. To help with determining the viablility of this chart for South Carolina we could note that in Wikipedia it is stated that the state "has historically had a weak executive branch and a strong legislature. " This is interesting as both the executive branch and legislature are by the 10th lord Venus in the chart. Venus is weak, being badly placed in the 6th house of conflict. However, it is favourably aspecting the 6th and 12th houses. With regard to the executive branch of the state, we could assume it relates to the Governor, and that those placed in this post have had problems. We could then look to the Sun in the chart for indications of weakness. What we see is a strong Sun, even if 8th lord in this chart. In other words, the chart seems to show the reverse of what is claimed. That said, this

is just one element and the description could possibly be wrong or distorted.

South Carolina's governor, Mark Sanford, is under pressure to resign when he disappeared for several days this past summer for an affair with a woman not his wife. His own Lieutenant. Governor, Andre Bauer, is being smeared for being gay. Recently, Kristin Maguire, mother of four home-schooled children and chairperson of South Carolina's State Board of Education, resigned amidst allegations that she wrote erotic stories on the internet. So the question is, what is happening with South Carolina's chart?

 

South Carolina was admitted into statehood on May 23, 1788. The midnight chart shows a Capricorn ascendant at 28:11 with a strong Saturn in the second house of status. Quite appropriate for a state known for its conservative views. Ketu and Rahu are debilitated and influence the odd-numbered houses. has written that debilitated Rahu results in exposed scandals. Currently, South Carolina is in a Rahu subperiod and L12 Jupiter is aspecting the 1st, 5th, 7th, and 9th houses. Loss of reputation, loss of morals, loss in the eyes of others.
