Israel's foreign policy loss

The outcome of the latest round of talks to defuse the international tensions over Iran's nuclear ambitions suggests Iran is, for now at least, the 'winner.' By default, Israel is considered the 'loser' in the high stakes international negotiations. Such outcomes are exactly in line with what has been predicted for Israel at this time based on the Capricorn rising national horoscope (sidereal) for Israel.

Hello list

Here is another development that has angered the Israeli government.

Israel rejects findings of UN report on Gaza incursion

October 12, 2009 -- Updated 1958 GMT (0358 HKT)

(CNN) -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in a Monday speech at the opening session of the Knesset, slammed a United Nations report critical of Israel's tactics during its offensive into Gaza. In his speech Monday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the report an "absurd claim." The report, released last month, accused Israel of committing "actions amounting to war crimes, possibly crimes against humanity" during its military incursion into Gaza from December 27 to January 18.

Hello list,

Here is more interesting information.

Prime Minister of Turkey Erdogan has accused Israel of war crimes, including use phosphorus against unarmed civilians. Turkey has also refused to hold international military exercises including Israel. This is a blow to Israel as Turkey has traditionally been considered Israels most steadfast ally in the muslim world. This is in line with the predictions based on the chart for Israel.

"COMMON SENSE" WARNING FROM ANKARA TO ISRAEL

Anatolian Eagle military exercise which Turkish Armed Forces has been fulfilling since 2001 led to crisis between Turkey and Israel. Israel linked postponement of the military exercise, planned to take place between October 12 and 23, to the incidents in Gaza. Tel Aviv administration defended that Ankara took the decision in question as a reaction. Messages of the Tel Aviv administration including threats made Ankara angry. Foreign Ministry gave a strong reply to Israel and said it was wrong to take a political meaning and consequence from postponement of international part of the military exercise.

Israel hits back at Turkey over scuppered air force drill

22:34 11/10/2009

Turkey announced on Sunday the cancellation of an international air force drill at one of the country's air force bases, which was to include Israeli jets. Foreign Ministry sources said that Turkish military officials had approached the Israel Defense Forces recently with a surprising demand that Israel refrain from participating in the drill, due to the IDF's activity in Gaza. Israeli inquiries on the matter with the Turkish foreign ministry were met with evasive responses. Consequently, the U.S. and Italy withdrew their participation from the drill in protest, which led to the cancellation of the entire drill.

Israel plays down tensions with Turkey over air drill

Tuesday, October 13, 2009 - Jerusalem

ISRAELI LEADERS are engaged in a damage-limitation exercise following Turkey’s decision to exclude Israel from a joint airforce exercise in protest at Israeli actions during the Gaza war. The move marks a new low in the traditionally strong bilateral ties between Israel and its most friendly ally in the Muslim world. The drill, which was to have taken place this week in Anatolia with a number of Nato states, was cancelled after the US and Italy pulled out following Ankara’s decision to bar Israel.

Turkey: World blamed Islam as Israel bombed Gaza

13:39 13/10/2009

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday accused the international community for shifting responsibility for the war in the Gaza Strip from Israel to Muslims. His speech to the Religious Council came amid increased tensions between Turkey and Israel, following Ankara's last-minute decision to ban Israel from an international air force drill as a show of protest over the Gaza war. The Turkish decision, announced on Sunday, led NATO countries to pull out of the exercise. "People just watched from the comfort of their seats as phosphorus bombs rained on innocent children in Gaza," The Turkish agency Sabah quoted Erdogan as saying. "In

international platforms, efforts ensued to blame Islam for Islamic terror."

Hello list members,

While the tension remain high for Israel, here are two stories which are indicative of a positive turn for its foreign policy position.

Israel joins US for defence drill

10:01 GMT, Wednesday, 21 October 2009 11:01 UK

Israel and the US are due to begin a two-week military defence exercise, thought to be the largest of its kind in Israel's history. The exercise will focus on providing a joint defence against a simulated co-ordinated missile attack on Israel. Up to 2,000 joint military personnel are believed to be taking part, along with at least 15 American ships. The Israeli army said the exercise was not a "response to any world events" but had been planned for a while. It is thought that a highly sophisticated new American radar, based in the Israeli desert, will be central to the exercise.

UN puts Iran deal on the table

11:46 GMT, Wednesday, 21 October 2009 12:46 UK

Iran and three world powers have been handed a draft proposal by UN nuclear monitors on Iran's uranium enrichment. Tehran will have until Friday to give its approval of the deal put forward by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) director Mohamed ElBaradei. The talks in Vienna, involving Iran, France, Russia and the US, had focused on Iran exporting its uranium to other countries to be enriched. Debate had stalled on Tuesday when Iran refused to curb enrichment. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/8318258.stm

Interestingly, transit 12th lord Jupiter, which began on October 18 its forward motion, is today exactly opposite natal 2nd lord Saturn at 23° 17' Cancer in the 7th house of the 21° Capricorn rising chart for Israel.
