Hello list,

There is a lot going on today, astrologically, including

- transit Rahu aspects transit Saturn, and this aspect became exact at 3° 08' Capricorn and Virgo, respectively. This aspect generates difficulties for the things indicated by Saturn.

- transit Mars entered the sign Cancer, where it is debilitated and will reside for the next six months. Transit Mars is now conjunct transit Ketu and this aspect will become exact on October 10, when both are at 2° 30' Cancer. This conjunction is likely to bring sudden adverse developments to the indications of Mars, including the professions ruled by this planet.

- transit Mercury entered the sign Virgo, where it is exalted. Transit Mercury is now conjunct transit Saturn, with this aspect becoming exact on October 8, 2009. Depending on the funcitonal nature of Saturn in a chart, the aspect will either helpful or challenging. For Virgos, Saturn becomes 6th lord in 1st house, making them liable to conflict. For Pisces, Saturn becomes 12th lord and Mercury 7th lord in 7th house, making them liable to losses while traveling abroad or to bring problems related to their spouse. For Cancers, Saturn becomes 8th lord and Mercury is 3rd lord in the 3rd house, making them liable to obstacles and endings related to initiatives or speech. Transit Rahu also afflicts transit Mercury and this aspect becomes exact on October 7, 2009, which would add to the stressful conditions. Generally this transit would bring increased nervous tension at

this time, and problems for professions ruled by this planet.

Given the above transits, we should see increased stress in the world and life around us. Best is to show patience and wait for things to become easier around the middle of the month.

Hello David,

The nodal axis/Ma is impacting the USA chart as well as Obama's chart.

There are strong transit nodal contacts in the charts of Michelle Obama

and Joseph Biden. This looks like a major event. Seatbelts on!!

Hello list members,

This story is almost to wild to believe. It seems NASA is launching a probe to the Moon which is supposed to impact with the Moon on October 9th to throw up materials into space so that the scientists can uncover if ice is hidden under the surface. The impact occurs when transit Mars and transit Ketu become exactly conjunct in Cancer.

LCROSS impact site picked

September 14th, 2009 7:30 AM by Phil Plait in NASA

NASA has chosen the final destination for the LCROSS lunar impacting probe: the crater Cabeus A, near the Moon’s south pole. So why is NASA smacking a probe into the Moon at high speed, and why there? The idea is that over millions and billions of years, a lot of comets have hit the Moon. The water from these comets hits the surface and sublimates away… but if any settles at the bottoms of deep craters near the Moon’s poles, these permanently shadowed regions can act as a refrigerator, keeping the water from disappearing. It can stay there, locked up as ice, for a long, long time. Some estimates indicate there could be billions of tons of ice near the Moon’s south pole. Detecting that water is tough. Radar results have been inconclusive, with some people saying there’s lots of water, and others saying there’s none at all. By

impacting a probe there, any ice located at the impact site will be shot up above the lunar surface, where sunlight will break it up into O+ and OH- molecules, which can be detected. Thus, LCROSS. I have a more detailed description of all this in an earlier blog post about LCROSS.

LCROSS is planned to impact the crater at 11:30 GMT on October 9, which is early morning for the U.S. (in fact, there will be two impacts; one from the spacecraft and another by the Centaur booster) The plume from the impact should stretch up many kilometers. It will almost certainly be too thin to be seen by amateur instruments, but the impact itself should make a bright enough flash to be seen if you have a telescope. The crater itself will be in shadow, making the light flash easier to spot. It’ll only last a second or two, so if you want to observe it, be prepared! NASA has a nice webpage with all the info you need to watch this historic event for yourself. I hope everyone gets a chance to see this!

cosmologer <cosmologerSAMVA Sent: Tuesday, October 6, 2009 5:53:56 AM Re: Transits on October 5, 2009Dear David and Ron,Thanks for correcting the length of the transit, David. I wrote it by memory and forgot to check before sending the message. As for the import of the Mars-Ketu conjunction and its relation to "9/11" in 2001, please note that transit 6L Jupiter was in the 12th house in exact mutual affliction with natal Ketu in the SAMVA USA chart at that time. Meanwhile, transit 8L Saturn was exactly afflicting houses 11, 1, 5 and 8. The transit conjunction of 10L Mars over FM Ketu in the 6th house, with an orb of 1° 30', was not making things easier. Importantly,

the transit nodes at that time were not stationary. See e.g.SAMVA USA chart: America under attack (December 21, 2007)http://cosmologer.blogspot.com/2007/12/samva-usa-chart-america-under-attack.htmlThis time, the transits are overall less difficult in the chart but the period is clearly more adverse. While transit Mars becomes conjunct a non-stationary Ketu on October 10, it is not by itself sufficient to produce a major setback. More so as the natal nodes are not afflicted or afflicting at the present time. However, the sub-period lord Saturn is afflicted and afflicting. Moreover, as 6L Jupiter seems to be the planet most engaged at this time, we can expect to see its indications (conflict, health, communal harmony) brought to the fore, in terms of some violence (8L Saturn) or sudden events (Ketu). It's stationary placement on top of natal 2L Sun is bringing great strain to the President and government at this time. That said, a

situation could erupt at any time. We will soon see what transpires.Thor SAMVA , "David Hawthorne" <david wrote:>> Dear Thor…> > As always… thanks for your post..> > They are always helpful and insightful.> > Just a couple of notes.. transit Mars is debilitated until May 26th, so it> is closer to eight months than six months for its debilitation.> > We can also recall there was a close influence between Mars and Ketu on> Sept. 11, 2001; so the close aspect of Ketu on Mars on October 10th may be> particularly difficult.> > Best wishes,> > David Hawthorne > > > SAMVA [sAMVA ] On Behalf Of> Cosmologer> Monday, October 05, 2009 2:20 PM> samva > Transits on October 5, 2009 [1 Attachment]> > [Attachment(s) from Cosmologer included below] > > > > Hello list,> > There is a lot going on today, astrologically, including > > - transit Rahu aspects transit Saturn, and this aspect became exact at 3°> 08' Capricorn and Virgo, respectively.
