Guest guest
Hello dear list members, There is plenty of conflict in the Middle East, with significant US involvement, including in Iran, Iraq, Pakistan and Afghanistan. At the end of this message is some discussion of the present and forthcoming transit influences. One thing of special interest in the news today is in the area of US diplomatic relations. The relations with Pakistan seem to improving, at least from the US side, if this story is anything to go by. Clinton say US `turning the page' with Pakistan AP – 1 hr 29 mins ago ISLAMABAD – On her first visit to Pakistan as secretary of state, Hillary Rodham Clinton on Wednesday sought to chip away at anti-Americanism in this predominantly Muslim nation, while applauding the government for taking on violent extremist forces. She also said the Obama administration intends to do more to support Pakistan on a wide range of issues, including economic development, energy generation, education and the environment. She suggested that the administration of former President George W. Bush had focused too narrowly on Pakistan's value as an ally in the war on terrorism, neglecting other aspects of the relationship. http://news./s/ap/20091028/ap_on_re_as/as_clinton Bomb kills 43 in northwestern Pakistan Associated Press – 10 mins ago PESHAWAR, Pakistan – A doctor says the death toll in a market bombing in northwestern Pakistan has risen to 43. Dr Zafar Iqbal says the death toll in Wednesday's attack in Peshawar city is expected to rise. The blast coincided with a trip to Pakistan by U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. http://news./s/ap/20091028/ap_on_re_as/as_pakistan;_ylt=AmQLvG332HpVR6W0DBvYlagLewgF;_ylu=X3oDMTI4MWFxOWpxBGFzc2V0A2FwLzIwMDkxMDI4L2FzX3Bha2lzdGFuBHBvcwMyMgRzZWMDeW5fc3ViY2F0X2xpc3QEc2xrA2JvbWJraWxsczQzaQ-- In other news, it seems the Iran nuke issue is winding down with the Iranian authorities signing up to a modified UN plan for inspections. Iran backs uranium plan outline, but seeks changes AP – Tue Oct 27, 3:43 pm ET TEHRAN, Iran - Iran accepted the general framework of a U.N.-draft nuclear deal Tuesday, but said it would seek "important changes" that could test the willingness of world powers to make concessions in exchange for a pact to rein in Tehran's ability to make atomic warheads. http://news./world/middle-east In Iraq, there are worries of increased civil unrest in the wake of the deadly bombing a few days ago. Baghdad attacks stir fears of Sunni violence AP – Tue Oct 27, 5:49 pm ET BAGHDAD - Iraq's Sunnis, long dissatisfied with the Shiite-led government, seek more power, respect and a bigger share of oil wealth in upcoming elections. But disunity among their political leaders and the sheer force of Shiite numbers threaten to derail those hopes. http://news./world/middle-east In Afghanistan, the war is becoming more deadly for the US. Today, there were rocket attacks in Kabul, including at an international hotel. Afghan police: 12 dead in attack on UN in Kabul Associated Press – 13 mins ago KABUL – Gunmen wearing suicide vests stormed a guest house used by U.N. staff in the heart of the Afghan capital early Wednesday, killing 12 people — including six U.N. staff — officials said. The U.S. Embassy said one of the U.N. dead was American. A Taliban spokesman claimed responsibility for the early morning attack, saying it was meant as an assault on the upcoming presidential election. http://news./s/ap/20091028/ap_on_re_as/as_afghanistan;_ylt=AqAgkRSSHUvmi1wmyicW_NELewgF;_ylu=X3oDMTJiOGxtcWtrBGFzc2V0A2FwLzIwMDkxMDI4L2FzX2FmZ2hhbmlzdGFuBHBvcwMyMwRzZWMDeW5fc3ViY2F0X2xpc3QEc2xrA2FmZ2hhbnBvbGljZQ-- We have earlier discussed in detail the transits in the SAMVA USA chart which are consistent with the developments. Jupiter has turnded direct in transit and will become conjunct natal Sun as 2nd lord at 23° 44' Capricorn and 7th house on November 1, 2009. It will be 1° away from this placement on November 22, when the strains seen in foreign policy recent months are expected to have significantly wound down, although a different type of strain is expected to emerge towards the end of the year when transit Saturn as 8th lord around 10° Virgo in the 3rd house becomes stationary in close aspect to natal 10th lord Mars at 10° 07' Scorpio and 5th house. The third house has to do with initiatives, entrepreneurship, courage, transportation and communication. The 8th lord has to do with obstacles, endings, government communication, beliefs of the people, red tape, easy gains, etc. Saturn is linked to mining, oil, traditional industry, working people, large structures, old things, etc. In turn, the 5th house has to do with creativity, speculation, universities, etc. The 10th lord has to do with the executive government, foreign trade, laws, public recognition, etc. Mars is linked to the military, police and athletes, or professions characterised by physical skill and effort, state of the art industries, metals, etc. As Mars is natally strong, this is only expected to produce strain and not significant setbacks, much like the recent transit affliction of the Sun. The obstacles that are expected to emerge will be linked to 3rd house indications and expressed in terms of the indications of Mars in areas ruled by the 5th house. As such, the forthcoming strain seen in the chart is not necessarily seen as an extension of the present troubles. Thor
Guest guest
Hello list, During here visit in Pakistan, Secretary of State, Clinton, has made some comments that are critical of the effort of the Pakistani leadership to root out the terrorists. Clinton puzzled at Pakistan failure to find al Qaeda Thu Oct 29, 10:10 am ET LAHORE, Pakistan (Reuters) – U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's said on Thursday it was "hard to believe" that no one in Pakistan's government knew where al Qaeda leaders were hiding, striking a new tone on a trip where Washington's credibility has come under attack. Scores of al Qaeda leaders and their operatives, including Osama bin Laden, are believed to be in hiding in the rugged border territory that divides Pakistan and Afghanistan, but both countries routinely accuse the other of being the main sanctuary http://news./s/nm/20091029/pl_nm/us_pakistan_usa We can see if this develops further. Guest guest
Hello list, Further information about the USA-Pakistani relations. Le Soleil, Canada Mission Almost Impossible November 1, 2009 Clinton is apparently the highest member of the United States Government to speak out openly about American frustrations with Pakistan since September 11, 2001. "With a friend like that, who needs enemies?" Hillary Clinton must have said to herself after her first visit to Pakistan this past weekend. http://watchingamerica.com/News/36681/mission-almost-impossible/ Thor Cosmologer <cosmologerSAMVA Sent: Fri, October 30, 2009 7:06:18 AMRe: The transits and the situation in the Mid East Hello list, During here visit in Pakistan, Secretary of State, Clinton, has made some comments that are critical of the effort of the Pakistani leadership to root out the terrorists.
