A study of significant events in US history in terms of the SAMVA USA chart is part of the work to authenticate it. While it is no longer necessary, as the proof of the validity of this chart has long since been established through such analysis and more importantly through accurate predictions, it is of interest for those who are interested to deepen ever further the understanding of the dynamics of a national horoscope.

 

Hartford circus fire

 

The Hartford Circus Fire, which occurred on July 6, 1944 in Hartford, Connecticut, was one of the worst fire disasters in the history of the United States. The fire occurred during an afternoon performance of the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus that was attended by approximately 6,800 people. Almost 170 persons were killed and between 400-700 were injured…The cause of the fire remains unproven. Investigators at the time believed it was caused by a carelessly flicked cigarette but others suspected an arsonist. Several years later while being investigated on other arson charges, Robert Dale Segee (1929-1997) who was an adolescent roustabout at the time, confessed to

starting the blaze. He was never tried for the crime and later recanted his confession.

The astrology is quite straight forward. Jupiter-Ketu period was operating. Ketu afflicts the 4th, 8th, 10 and 12th houses. The natal dispositor of Ketu, 4th lord Venus, is placed in the 6th house and was badly placed in the 12th house in transit. Transit Ketu was in the 7th house of leisure pursuits. Ketu rules searing heat and sudden harmful even explosive events. It was however transit stationary Rahu at 4° 35' Cancer that was exactly afflicting natal 6th lord Jupiter at 4° 25' Scorpio and 5th house of entertainment while transit Jupiter was exactly conjunct transit 10th lord Mars, a hot planet.

In the attached chart, note also the bad placement of five planets in transit.

 

We could also note that the USA was also involved in World War II during the Jupiter period, which is fitting as it rules the 6th house of conflict. During the Ketu sub-period, from March 1944-March 1945, the trauma of WW II, as a major dramatic event in the life of the country, wher a total of over 400,000 US soldiers were killed and over 600,000 wounded, would have been keenly felt by the nation.
