Hello dear list members,

As is some earlier cases, there are ongoing challening transits in the SAMVA USA chart at the scheduled time of lift-off for the Shuttle, including the affliction of sub-period lord Saturn natally to transit 6L Jupiter and in transit to transit 3L Mercury. As we have seen in the past, such challenging aspects need only indicate the risks inherent in such missions.

Nasa says the weather is looking good for Monday's launch

The US space shuttle Atlantis is scheduled to blast off from Florida on a mission to deliver spare parts to the International Space Station (ISS). Lift-off is planned for 1928 GMT (1428 EST) on Monday from the Kennedy Space Center near Cape Canaveral . There are just five more shuttle launches scheduled before the planned retirement of the fleet in 2010.

We have also seen difficult lift-off charts, but no reports of major difficulty in the mission. In the 2° Pisces rising lift-off chart for today, there are also weak placements and problematic contacts in the chart. The sub-period is of a weak but well placed Mars. Notably, there is an aspect of the Sun as 6th lord of technical problems to the 3rd and 9th houses. More so as the 6th lord is also conjunct a weak 5th lord Moon, the dispositor of Mars. It is of note that Mars, the indicator of technical efforts, is weak and its ruler, the Moon, is afflicted at the time of lift-off. 12th lord Saturn is also afflicting its dispositor a combust 7th lord Mercury in the 9th house. The nodes are widely conjunct the 4th and 10th houses but 8th lord Venus is strong, well placed and unafflicting in this chart. However, it receives an aspect from Mars. The chart could

indicate a possibility of a delay due to problems.

So, even if transit afflictions are seen in the SAMVA USA chart and the chart for the scheduled lift-off, let us hope all goes well.

Thor
