Scores killed or hurt in Russia train crash

There was a train wreck in Russia last night involving many fatalities and many more injuries.

Scores of people have been killed and injured in a train crash in Russia, reports say.

A major rescue effort continues as the government said 25 people had died, with 100 injured, and another 40 unaccounted for among 660 passengers.

At least three carriages of the express train came off the tracks as it travelled from Moscow to St Petersburg, on one of Russia's busiest rail links.

A small crater had been found at the scene, sparking speculation of a blast.

A 2007 bomb on the same line derailed a train, injuring nearly 30 passengers.
