Fw: 50 Year Rule: The US dollar

Hello dear list members,

 

A list member has written to me off-list with the following observation:

 

"Considering the 50 year rule for countries where the influence on a natal is increased each 50 years, then the U.S. natal Sun and Moon is now 100% afflicted by Saturn and Jupiter. I would think that the natal potential for the U.S. currency is in a much lesser position for a great recovery?"

Indeed, there has been some discussion of this rule some time ago. The rule basically states that the influence of an aspect becomes increasingly felt with age. This is consistent with the laws of entropy. With age, we tend to become more vulnerable to chronic or everpresent afflictions. For national horoscopes, this has been interpreted to mean that an aspect that is exact in a chart is felt to the full extent at birth. An aspect that is just over 1° orb is felt more strongly after 50 years, but not to the extent of an exact aspect, rather to the extent of affliction seen. An aspect that is just over 2° orb is felt to the full extent of this aspect in 100 years. An aspect just over 3° is felt to the full extent of the aspect after 150 years, etc.

 

In the SAMVA USA chart we have three aspects to consider in this regard

1. Saturn as 8th lord aspects natal 2nd lord Sun - 3° orb. Felt to full exent of an aspect with this orb in 1931

2. Jupiter as 6th lord aspects natal 1st lord Moon - 3° orb Felt to full exent of an aspect with this orb in 1931

3. Rahu aspects 2nd house MEP - 2° 14' orb. Felt to full extent of an aspect with this orb in 1896.In other words, these aspects are already felt with the full influence but only to the extent indicated by the orb of the aspect. Interestingly, the number of assassination attempts on US Presidents increased sharply in the 20th century, consistent with the affliction of Saturn and Rahu (to also house 10) in the chart.

 

The answer to the above question would therefore be that these aspects are not materially changing the evaluation. The period and transit influences are more important.

 

Finally, I note that some list members seem to be expecting a "great recovery" or a considerable strengthening of the dollar. I don't think this has ever been stated. A careful reading of what has been written shows discussion of the transit affliction to the natal Sun in the autumn months of 2009, which has been consistent with the very low value of the dollar and concerns expressed about the currency, as mentioned on the list. It was speculated that when this transit affliction lifted, the dollar could rally. However, subsequently, more detailed analysis revealed that the transit condition of Sun and Moon was important. For instance, transit Sun is now going to be badly placed in the SAMVA USA chart for the next month or so. So, the outlook for the currency in terms of the Sun as 2nd lord in the chart is

therefore mixed. Add to this the fact that there is a lot of uncertainty in terms of other mundane charts, which have not been read. To more definitely state how the dollar will move against other currencies, we must examine the charts of the countries involved, many of which are still not known with certainty.

rebounded. Government has bail out major corporation but it is making money out of it. Once it start raising rates, the dollar will ultimately start going up.
