The coming Sun period in the SAMVA USA chart

I find it interesting that the dawn of the age of artificial light in the USA coincided with the second Sun major period in the SAMVA USA chart (April 1896 - April 1902). The Sun is strong and powerfully placed in the chart in the MEP of the 7th house of others, aspecting the 1st house of self.

 

The history of artificial light

Many of the discoveries or inventions laying the foundation of artificial light took place as early as the 18th century.

 

"The science of light-production may be considered to have been born in the latter part of the eighteenth century and beginning with that period a few chapters treat of the development of artificial light up to the present time. Until the middle of the nineteenth century mere light was available, but as the century progressed, the light-sources through the application of science became more powerful and efficient. Gradually mere light grew to more light and in the dawn of the twentieth century adequate light became available. In a single century, after the development of artificial light began in earnest, the efficiency of light-production increased fifty-fold and the cost diminished correspondingly." M. Major technological advances took place during the latter part of the 19th century, especially during the first Venus major period (1876-1896). Thomas Alva Edison had his most productive period of inventions during the Menlo Park years (1876-1881), but remained active into the first part of the 20th century (the Progressive Era). However, the breakthrough in terms of the spread in common usage of artificial light is considered to have taken place during the second Sun period.

 

In the same way, important discoveries being made in the present Venus period (1996-2016) will likely come into common usage in the forthcoming Sun period (2016-2022). Such increased usage or spread will likely also be considered a great progress for humanity. One such advance could be how we use energy. Perhaps some technical advances will appear that enable us to harness energy in less environmentally destructive ways. Or perhaps, it will have to do with spiritual enlightenment, through inner illumination, as a strong Sun represents the evolution of the soul.
