This victory is considered a major upset for President Obama and his agenda to reform the health care system and other initiatives. Democrats seek back footing after epic Mass. loss AP – Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010 – 59 mins ago BOSTON – A year to the day after his inauguration, Barack Obama and his Democratic allies are suddenly scrambling to save his signature health care overhaul and somehow rediscover their political magic after an epic loss in the Massachusetts Senate race. Republican Scott Brown rode a wave of voter anger to beat Democrat Martha Coakley. The loss was a stunning embarrassment for the White House. It also signaled big political problems for the president's party this fall when House, Senate and gubernatorial candidates are on the ballot nationwide…Brown will become the 41st Republican in the 100-member Senate, which could allow the GOP to block the health care bill. Democrats needed Coakley to win for a 60th vote to thwart Republican filibusters. Brown became the first Republican elected to the U.S. Senate from supposedly true-blue Democratic Massachusetts since 1972."I have no interest in sugarcoating what happened in Massachusetts," said Sen. Robert Menendez, the head of the Senate Democrats' campaign committee. "There is a lot of anxiety in the country right now. Americans are understandably impatient." http://news./s/ap/20100120/ap_on_el_se/us_massachusetts_senate With the transit stationary nodes in the 6th and 12th houses afflicting the natal 4th lord Venus, this event is inline with the predicted upset to collective harmony, involving also health care reform, financial stability, etc. at this time. Other elements earlier discussed are also contributing. Thor

So lawmakers are talking about more modest health legislation that could have bipartisan appeal, though even that may prove more complicated than many suggest. http://news./s/ap/20100121/ap_on_bi_ge/us_health_care_overhaul Pelosi: House lacks votes to OK Senate health bill Jan 21 12:27 PM US/Eastern WASHINGTON (AP) - Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Thursday that she lacks the votes to quickly move the Senate's sweeping health overhaul bill through the House, a potentially devastating blow to President Barack Obama's signature issue. Pelosi, D-Calif., made the comment to reporters after House Democrats held a closed-door meeting at which participants vented frustration with the Senate's massive version of the legislation. http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D9DC8T585 & show_article=1 Rise in jobless claims signals bump in recovery AP - January 21, 2010, 3:19 pm EST WASHINGTON (AP) -- A surprising jump in first-time claims for unemployment aid sent a painful reminder Thursday that jobs remain scarce six months into the economic recovery. http://finance./news/Initial-jobless-claims-apf-3027105474.html?x=0 & .v=5 Democrats propose $1.9T increase in debt limit Associated Press– Wed Jan 20, 6:39 pm ET WASHINGTON – Senate Democrats on Wednesday proposed allowing the federal government to borrow an additional $1.9 trillion to pay its bills, a record increase that would permit the national debt to reach $14.3 trillion. http://news./s/ap/20100120/ap_on_bi_ge/us_congress_debt_limit_11 Thor Cosmologer <cosmologersamva Sent: Wed, January 20, 2010 9:18:01 AM Political upset for President Obama Hello list, The outcome to fill the seat Democratic Senator Edward Kennedy held for half a century has resulted in a Republican victory.
